I actually use these gloves for racing karts. They have good grip and should give adequate hand protection in a crash/spill. I have tried using these for flying my Pitts. Like other Blackhawk gloves there is a big seam at the tips of the fingers, right where you wouldn't want it. Especially the index fingers. If you have small switches or buttons to push it can be difficult. Shouldn't be a problem for use as a shooting glove. My hands measure a little over 8-1/2" around the knuckles. I usually take a Medium but for these I bought a Large. Glad I did because these fit tight. Another reason for Blackhawk to work on the seams. If you want the leather to grip more, rub Lexol conditioner into them once in a while.

These gloves do run a bit small. But it makes for a better fit. Use rubbing alcohol or put them into hot water to get them to stretch. They will fit snugly and there will not be a problem coming off. No velcro to get dirty and no longer stick. If the cuff bothers you just roll it forward.

Excellent. Handles every task you can name. Kind of like Toyota Tacoma truck.
