Condor Convoy Outdoor Pack Tactical Reviews, Deals, Problems and Guides

I bought this bag because my old one was falling apart. I had received a bag from my recruiter when I re-enlisted and I used it until it could no longer be of use because it was free (other then 6 more years of my life). I was doing some research which led me to this bag. I needed a bag that was small enough for my every day life and held all of my stuff. This bag so far has proven itself. I carry my nursing equipment on the bottom pocket, my glasses on the side pocket, and pens on the other side. The inside fits my MacBook Pro perfectly (it does not have a case, otherwise it would be a tight fit), binder of notes and books. With my old recruiter bag, i felt the weight of the items on my back. This bag distributes the weight pretty well. I don’t use the waist straps much so I can’t really comment on it. The shoulder straps do push out a little bit because I have wide shoulders but is maintained in place with the chest strap. The Velcro is only two strips which only fits about two flags sized patches. The webbing is good if you wanted to add more pouches on it. For the amount of pockets and space, I can use this to carry about 1- 1 1/2 set of clothes for a trip. To carry more items, I would use my 72 hour bag for short trips. Other then that I would say it’s a pretty good bag.

It’s like wearing a mini black hole on your back. You keep shovinf sand stuffing and it just keeps sucking it in. I feel like I’m a team member from “Deep Space Nine” exploring the vast vacume that is this bag. It has so many little compartments that my ADD goes wild. You get this sensation that your “Atlas” holding the world in your shoulders because you have the entire
World in your bag yet you can’t even tell. “More Molle” I’d say if it WASN’T this bag. If it had any more areas to attach more universes I’d might just Suoernova into obivion. But sincerely I Thank you, I feel safe knowing I have everything and then some on my back for the “Next Generation”.

I got this primarily to throw into the trunk of my car to carry first aid gear (other than my EDC) and some additional items if needed because of being unable to get home easily. For my purposes, it is just about the right size. I call it the "baby bear" as opposed to Condors 3 day pack which I would call the "papa bear" size. For me, a "mama bear" size would be perfect, but they don't have one. In short, an additional 500 Cu. In. would be really right on for this kind of bag. While this bag may work well for an overnight bag, it probaby wouldn't work for much more than that for most traveling.

That said, the construction of the bag appears to be excellent. The carry handles on 3 sides is really handy for throwing the bag into a trunk or an overhead bin of a plane. The small side pockets swallow a standard water bottle with room for a bit more and zip closed. Plenty of room in these for odds and ends. The main compartment is adequate for some clothing items. I don't carry a lap top or a water bladder so those are non issues for me but it appears it would hold both with no problem. The small front pouch is perfect for a full boo boo kit (good for an alternative personal grooming kit) and the medium sized pouch carries much of my other first aid gear. While the storage items like the slip pockets are nice and would work very well for EDC to the office or the like, for my purposes they mostly go to waste. The document pocket on the front of the medium pocket is perfect for maps and documents, but I use it for a couple chest seals.

The shoulder straps are very comfortable. Chest straps does what it's supposed to do as does the waist belt. However, because the pack is the size it is, the waist strap comes quite high on me. I like the pack riding higher on my back rather than lower and as such the waist strap comes an inch or two above my waste. It works, but not really like it should. With all straps (except the chest strap) I really like the velcro close tabs that keep loose ends tight.

Overall great bag for the price.

So far, the quality of the product seems stout. It is loaded with features. I can't say how it will perform for anyone on deployment, I bought this for a BOB. I already had two Condor Molle attachment bags that I was wanting to use with it and I am currently setting it up as a rapid emergency bag complete with medical, food, shelter, hydration, defense. I am building more than a 72 hour pack, but a all-encompassing; from 72 hours to building a new start after the zombie apoc. LOL>. Seriously, I wanted an emergency pack to cover more than just the basics of a simple bug-out-bag that I could have ready and handy and I am duplicating it in multiple versions. I already had the accessory packs that I found on sale at a A/N surplus outlet so I bought this after. As for now, I feel it will fully function for all my needs and I have no issues with it. The video supplied on their website was extremely helpful in helping me decide how to organize it.

I'm 5'10 and I think this backpack fits me perfectly. It's not to big where I look like an idiot and it's not to small where I look like a school girl haha. Great size. Seems sterdy. Lots of pockets. Opertunities to attach more things to it if you desire.
HOWEVER.
I hate that the waist belt has no place to tuck it in when you're not using it. Inconvenient. Hangs low. Especially when you've measured it to yourself.

Straight to the punch...

It's ability to hold my 15" Mac Book Pro, DJI Mavic AIR Drone w/an extra battery, and my Gimbal (Camera Stabilizer) all in one medium/compact bag is what won me over!

It's literally my 'Mobile Videography Studio/Gear' bag, everything I need to film, edit & finalize is all in one rugged & Ready-To-Go bag!

The quality didn't fall short anywhere, it's heavy duty, double-stitched and full of features & storage.
One unforeseen feature that I didn't expect to utilize was the Document Pockets/Sleeves, which I often use for carrying folders/paperwork, I'm typically 'Paperless' but it's proven to be useful now that I know I can safely carry even a singular exposed peice of paper without crushing or mangling it.

Definitely happy with this purchase, Condor nailed it with this shape & design!

Note this is not a weight bearing pack. I did a 13.5 mile hike with 40 lbs in this pack. All weight is on your shoulders. The pack is too short to use the belt to take the weight on your waist. If you looking for a 3 day bag this is not it. But overall the pack help up and did its job the padding on the back was awesome. All stitches held and look fine

I am pretty happy with this daypack purchase. I've owned it for a week or two now and just took it on an 8 mile hike today. The back didn't rub into my back in any way and was cushioned enough. I only had the front buckle clicked together, and it was quite comfortable that way. There are TONS of pockets. I love how many are on the outside, as it gives you quick access to more important items.

I got this pack quite a while ago in Multicam and I've used it a lot. I opted for this pack because I wanted a slightly smaller pack than the Three day assault pack and this size was perfect for my needs. It is really roomy enough and the interior layout is the same as the larger three day pack. The molle attachments make customization easy although I haven't needed to add any extra pouches. My only issue has been that I've gotten the zippers stuck on the flaps that covers the zippers a couple times which is a pain in the rear but typically easily corrected with a little careful re-tugging. This pack has been highly functional, is well made, adjustable, and very comfortable. Highly recommended as are all the Condor products I've previously purchased.

Well made, durable and ALL kinds of places for gear. I work at a mine and need to have safe, easy to access places for multiple
tools, a respirator, an ipad and miscellaneous other items. This pack works well for all of my gear, and makes it easy to tote around and stands up to a rough environment.
