Condor makes an awesome product, at a great price, first and foremost. That being said, the Recon Chet Rig is great for a grab and go kit. Its light weight and pretty durable. The best part about the chet rig is how modular it is. The thing can fit my 13 year daughter or my 6' 275lbs frame with room to spare. Also you can add Hydration Harness to the back of it and a MCR Bib between the chest straps and BOOM, you have molle room everywhere. The only issue I have is the kangaroo pannel up front is attached to the vest.

I own several of these. I have a personal one and a loaner. I just ordered one to give to my brother. The value is high. You get a lot for the money. I personally do not use the pistol mag pouches that are in front of the rifle mag pouches. But that is my preference. But you do have plenty of Molle to run other pouches off to the sides such as an ifak and pistol mag pouches. I feel this is a great rig to give away to your friends and neighbors to be an ambassador to the 2nd amendment and life and liberty. I deduct one star for made in China and plastic hardware were there could just be sewn webbing. Condor if you are listening remove the plastic swivel and just sew your webbing at an angle. This will save you money and make it more bombproof.

I just needed a simple lightweight chest rig and this fit the bill at a great price. I generally fit 2x shirts and this fit with a lot of room to spare. Will easily fit a 3x torso (maybe bigger). It's easy to slip off and on while loaded down. I'd personally like it to ride a little higher on the chest, but it's still a good fit none the less. The bungee keepers do their job and can be adjusted tighter if you need by simply re-tying it tighter. Keeps mags in place while going back and forth from running to prone. Nice mesh inner document pouch. The outer pouches can be used for pistol mags, flash lights, multi tools etc. Enough MOLLE room on each side to add a MED kit and other equipment. I plan to get another for the Mrs. as well. Thanks for putting out a decent product without a gouging price.

My personal opinion is that this is as good as, if not better than some of the equipment I used in Afghanistan. The construction seems to be solid and the price was right. So far I would recommend this product.

"Not as lean, just as mean..." We'd all like to think that we'll be gods of war past our youth, but, let's face it, sometimes we embrace the right to grow old and fat!
With the way things are going, even us "old fat guys" need a good tactical rig to hold our magazines and other "stuff". I'm not trying to recreate the glory days of the past, and I'm not expecting to deploy to a combat environment, so I needed a basic rig that fits my somewhat rotund frame. This is the one.
Outstanding construction, good placement, and with plenty of MOLLE mount points, carries all the magazines I'll need for the range (rifle and pistol), and, with Condor's 12 shell shotgun shell pouch, I can load it up for any "just in case" situations (coyotes in the hen house, etc...)
Big thumbs up for construction and for customer service!

I bought this rig to wear in the winter and fit over a 511 XL Ranch Coat. I does not have as much storage or versatility as a UTG Tactical vest but it fits my purpose exceptionally well. It has a great design, solid manufacturing and can be easily upgraded with a first aid kit, a radio pouch and a Condor MA 53 tool & accessory pouch. That combination is more expensive than the UTG product but it does fit comfortably over bulky clothing. Additionally, it stows more efficiently than a vest in your bug out bag. If you need more storage, the rigs design accommodates a gun belt more effectively because the rig rides higher on your torso than a vest.

This thing is awesome! Built super tough with lots of room for mags and other essentials. Plus there's room to add if you want....which I did. Picked up a VT holster to go with this and it fits perfect with the rig and my Glock 23. If your on the fence or still looking around for a quality chest rig you wpuld be stupid not to grab this thing up......hurry!!

I bought the tan originally but returned it for the black. Also bought the holster for the side to put my 9mm in. I've been taking tactical classes where we use both AR and pistol so this works great. It has room for six 30 round magazines and four pistol mags. Just what we use in the 3 hour classes. I found all the adjustments to be easy to make and you can make it snug if you wish. I'm a 42-44 coat and 36+ waist and I had no problem with any of the belts or the shoulder straps. Like the video says, you can customize the pockets. I returned the tan since the USMC has now gone to woodlands digitals for all-wear all-seasons. I'll wind up giving the rig to my son who is a Marine so the black will work better with the woodlands camo. I've had gear from all the major brands and the price of this beats anything I've owned before. Condor products, including apparel has served me well for years.

This thing is excellent for the price! Im a smaller guy so it rides a little low on my body, but not below my waist and it fits secure. The quality is pretty good, all straps and fasteners work great and dont seam cheap at all. My only issue is the bungee style magazine retainers, even if you dont use them i find they get in the way when im doing top offs and try to put the ejected mag back in the pouch, but im not a high speed operator or anything so i can live with it. And honestly i may just cut them out, but again for the price point this thing is amazing and modifying it in such a way isnt gut wrenching by any means. I recommend this rig!
