I bought this pack as a hunting/ duty day pack. I have version 1 in Multicam and version 2 in coyote. Both versions have features I like; but since I can only carry one at a time, version 2 is the best. I’m constantly testing new gear for field use to find the perfect gear for my equipment system and this pack comes close.

Pluses:
+ unit cost to quality/construction ratio is good.
+ unit size and empty weight is very efficient- plenty of room for what you NEED not the extra weight of what you don’t.
+ + external and detachable beaver tail perfect for neatly and easily carrying wet weather/ thermal layers you need to get to without taking up internal volume.
+ pack rides well, close to the body and shoulder straps are Very comfortable for 20-25 lbs loads.
+ Back mesh panel breaths well against your back.
+. Pack integrates well with other gear or use by itself.

Negatives:
- Shoulder straps and waist belt could be longer/bigger for use by big guys or over body armor.
- stitching on main zipper is loosing up but not broken yet. This is a recreational /mid level duty pack in my opinion. See unit cost/ weight ratio above; it works for my needs.
- internal compartments and gee wiz accessorizing is not as bad as most other packs. Most of the compartments are useful in real life but some in my opinion add weight and cost to the unit that is not justified.

I would strongly recommend this pack to the regular people out there that want a reasonably solid, comfortable, lightweight, user friendly in the field and very affordable day pack.

Best of luck and skill in your next op or field day.

The dementions of this pack are all on the small side of what is advertised. The biggest issue for me is the shoulder straps are small and minimally padded. If you’re carrying more than 10 or 15 lbs the straps will make you pay for it quickly.
