I ordered a 10.5 Wide and I was concerned that they would be t a slight too large. To my surprise, a little tight but I loosened the the laces and the boots went on alright. At the time, I was wearing thin dress type socks. Don't think some of the thicker socks sold on here and others would be comfortable wearing. I like the feel: not the heavy feeling that the boot looked like it would have. The boot is well made. For me, I might keep the laces a little loose and zip the zipper and then tighten accordingly. Consider a 1/2 size larger than what you wear.

I have tried a few different brands of boots but always come back to 5.11. First time I have had a pair of Speed boots but definitely cooler than my ATAC's which was the whole point of these.

These boots are very rugged and lightweight. I ordered my size 10.5 wide and the fit was perfect. I did not need to break these in. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever purchased. The insoles are replaceable. These boots do squeak a bit on polished or wet floors.

The boot would have been perfect, the lightweight and overall comfort style- however, it was not "wide" width, it was narrow. I ordered a size 9 men's, they fit more comfortably and wider than women's (feet grown since having a baby), but the 9 was about 3 inches shorter than my current size 9 men's boots. I understand boots are different according to manufacturer/location, but look at the bottom of the boot and length next to Bates Durashocks- huge difference! If it weren't for the sizes, it would've been a "5".

They seem like good quality boots. My complaint is that they run a half-size larger than other brands. These are just a bit too large without thick socks. I hate returning things so I guess I will just deal with it.

I wish I had these boots while in the military. They are lightweight and very well made. I love the fact that these boots have the replaceable insole. I normally wear a 10.5 but these felt much better in 10.5 Wide. I recommend going with the wide size. These boots also do squeak a bit on linoleum or polished type floors.

Bought these because tg stopped selling the Atac in wide width. So being it says the 3.0 are on the same platform as the Atac I ordered the wide witdh but a little large but can't afford to keep sending boots back.
