As the headline touches, the ABR Pro pants are a good compromise between the Tac-Lite Pro and Apex pants. They are not as roomy as the former, nor as fitted or stretchy as the latter, but still offers many of the strengths of both in a fairly well-priced product. I wear a 30(actually 29)x36 and have larger thighs than the waist size would suggest, and these accommodate that odd fit.

I would personally prefer a looser fit in the thigh and crotch area, but these still allow for plenty of comfort when moving. They are not as constricting as the Apex, more moreso than the Tac-Lite Pro. I always do the squat test when trying on a new pair of pants. While not as comfortable to do as in the Apex or a Defender pants, it does not feel like the pants would split from such a pose.

One advantage they have over the Tac-Lite Pro is that the waistband does not have the “accordion” sections, instead opting for the flexible material of the Apex, making these pants more comfortable to wear with an untucked shirt.

The only drawback I have found it that the cellphone/magazine pocket on the front left is awkwardly positioned, so I am better off having my phone in on of the regular waist pockets if sitting.

Great all around product, my gripes are strictly preferential. I left the Army almost 2 years ago so I'm in a weird transition where I still like wearing gear that offers tactility but not at the expense of looking like an asshole that wants to profess to the world that I'm operator AF. I'm a slimmer guy and wish 5.11 would develop a tactical duty pant that offers a more tapered look (looking cool is half the battle 😂). The material is great, dope stitching and plenty of storage, although the pockets aren't as deep as I expected. I have A Galaxy Note 9 and it sticks out of both front pockets that could be used for storing a phone or magazine. The 2 back pockets are a bit shallow as well. I had alterations done to taper the inseam to give these pants a more athletic fit in the legs. I was a Civil Affairs cool guy in the Army so I have a slim athletic build but I don't possess massively chiseled legs like Tim Kennedy, so these fit a bit baggy on a guy my size at 5'9" 160lbs. All in all, good product if you're a bigger individual or if you don't mind pants that make you look like you're dressed to take over for the '99 and the 2000 😂 (that's a reference to Juvenile's intro to "Back That A** Up", in case you were wondering).

Wow! These pants are awesome! They're basically a Taclite Pro 2.0 version. 5.11's tend to fit big on me (normally a 30x32 in jeans) so I order the 28x32 and they fit perfectly! I'm a slim athletic build and the taper of these pants look gucci good on me. The new stretch waistband design is way more comfortable then the Taclite Pro accordion style. I purchased three pairs for an upcoming deployment and liked them so much I bought two more pairs. I highly recommend these if you're a slim athletic build.

38"x34" size, I own 5 pairs of 5.11 Apex pants and absolutely love them. The Apex pant and Lee's Extreme Motion Boot Cut jeans are my daily go to pant for work or play.

The ABR Pro pants are pretty comfortable to wear around, but not quite what I was hoping for. I have been looking for a knee-pad capable pant with the comfortable flex/stretch feel of the Apex pants. I thought the ABR Pro Pant would work, but the leg cut is too skinny and the pants catch on my knees when moving down to the kneeling position.

I had a similar experience with a TRU-SPEC knee-pad capable pant, except the fit was even worse.

In all, I'm not returning the ABR Pro pants, I will add them to my rotation, but the hunt for a good fit knee pad pant will continue.

Some reason stores don’t sale navy blue cargo for some reason. I spent over 500 dollars looking for a fitted pair of cargo. Finally found 5.11 abr pro pants. They are a slimmer fit and still comfortable and mobile. I order three pairs within the last week

I'm new to "tactical" pants and have only tried one other brand. In comparison to the other brand, these actually fit like regular pants which is a plus to me. I can't stand baggy clothing and these certainly are not baggy - they fit just right and have room in the right places. The elastic bands on the waist also help for comfort. They're flexible and seem well engineered. I would recommend these to anyone that is looking for a more fitted look.

Only downside is after the front pockets are full of your stuff, it makes the pants tight around the thigh, but it's not a deal breaker, cuz the stretch fabric allows you to move and bend legs. The stretch waist isn't great, only a little stretch. I could've went up one size on the waist and been good, but the length is perfect. I'm 6'2" and 165. I got a 30x32 and should've got 32x32. These pants are for athletic or even slim body types, a heavy set person will not do well in these. I like the pants, but I'm used to tru-spec vectors, which have 16 pockets and no Velcro. The 5.11 have maybe 9 or 10 pockets. But I still get all my stuff in there. Great pants though, I still think tru spec makes better pants, but the 5.11 are good, I'm sure most normal sized or even thin guys would like these fine.

Fit true to size. Material amazing, and walking through the rain stayed dry actually due to the water repellent factors. Definitely not a rain pant though.haha. fit, feel, and function are all there. Tough material!!!! Another win from 511. Also mobility is great, and the cargo pockets a huge plus.

I now have about 5 pair of the 5.11 ABR Pro Pants. They are my go to pants. With 5.11 quality that I have become accustomed to, these pants have just the right amount of pockets for my every day loadout. I highly recommended 5.11 ABR Pro Pants. And the best place to buy them is from this site

Iv purchased many 5.11 pants before and by far these take the cake. They fit perfectly. Weather I’m wearing to the range or working they do everything needed. They are comfortable and lightweight. Couldn’t be more impressed. Gonna continue buying more of these pants for sure
