There’s no better attire for tackling the urban jungle than the 5.11 Fast-Tac Urban Pants. Designed with a low-profile look, these pants will help you blend into the office without losing your tactical edge. The trick is in 5.11’s Fast-Tac fabric, a lightweight polyester ripstop that’s both durable and flexible. The self-adjusting waistband will keep you comfortable and enhance mobility, while the water-resistant finish helps maintain a sharp, professional appearance at all times. With five nylon-reinforced pockets, you’ll have no shortage of discreet storage. In addition, the front utility pocket has welted edges for hanging tools, so you can keep your hands free. For exceptional performance and a covert look, these pants won’t let you down.

I’m required to wear LAPD navy pants with no cargo pockets on duty so I gave these a try. First off the fabric is super thin making these a great choice for summer climates and the fabric is lightweight, almost like a golf slack. The only complaint I have is that I normally wear a 36 x 32 but order 34 lengths for duty pants as I prefer them to sit higher up when I have a duty belt weighed down with gun/taser etc. Despite the additional length there’s not a lot of room in the seat of the pants making “the boys” feel pretty cramped when seated in my patrol car. If you like a little room in the seat/crotch area I’d suggest ordering a longer length and hemming. Other than that super comfy.

Excellent pants for the money. They are a bit thin if you are used to other 5.11 pants such as Stryke, but they are exactly what I wanted for hot weather. Nice material that have a bit of stretch and the waistline has a nice stretch ad well. Nice pockets that include cut-out for a pocket knife- I carry a tactical penlight in my pocket and it clips nicely. Thank you 5-11.

These pants are a middle ground between cargo pants and jeans. They keep water out very well and the material is very strong. Every pocket is tough and reinforced with tons of thread. I am a skinny guy so they are a little baggy on the legs but the adjustable waist is professional looking and very comfy. The extra belt loops are great for those who open carry and also clip their keys above their back pocket, where with other jeans a holster would cover that belt loop. Overall great pants.

Bought these looking for something more durable than Cotton Khakis, which only seem to last me a year or so. The Battle Brown is a bit darker than it looks on screen, but looks nice.
They are a good fit for me, I'm 6'4", 215 lbs, usually wear a 34x34, they are just a bit loose in the waist, but not enough for me to go down a size, I may have them taken in a little. I've only worn them once to work with a polo shirt, but they were very comfortable all day, kept me cool while still looking professional.
If they were just a little smaller in the waist, closer to the Ridgeline, with the same material as the Ridgeline pant, they would be perfect.

These pants are my go-to everyday in the field or office apparel for professional investigative work in Florida. They are light-weight, breathable, dry super quick, and pair well with a collared shirt and tactical dress shoes. If you like straight leg, lightweight, tactical pants without lots of pockets – and saving money – and you don’t own a pair or two from this site, you’re missing out!

I have 1 pr of navy, 2 pr of black and charcoal. The fit is actually on the big side (for me). It has a stretch waist. The fabric is light. Pockets are decent size / depth. Color seems to be holding up (wash in cold). Zipper hasn't gotten stuck (yet). Not a big fan of sew on buttons, but metal buttons wouldn't make it airport / detector friendly. Overall, I like them. I wish someone would design a plastic jeans (rivet) type of button to use on these pants.

Waist size is to what I order, since it is able to expand, it is a little loose for me. material sticks to your skin when wearing it. (static material) when sitting on a metal bench, the coldnest goes thru the material. These pants will just hang on you, with no shape to it. if you just want to run around in it and don't care if it got dirty, then just buy it. would I buy it again? no not this time.

Wife says these make me look sexy. I bought a few different pairs of pants and she made me do the catwalk with all of them. I'll probably end up buying a few more of these. Lightweight, mesh pockets, subtle cargo, loose fit , flexible waist.

The 5.11 fast-tac urban pants are really comfortable and really light weight compared to traditional
EMS pants. My department frowns upon cargo pocket type pants, so I've been looking for light weight breathable pants. The front thigh pocket on the right pant leg is convenient for gloves, EMS reference guide book or your smartphone. It fits my apple 8 plus perfectly. The fit is true, maybe a hair on big side but it isn't noticeable to me. The only minor draw back, is that when I sit down the crotch area get s little snug, but I'm always on my feet so its tolerable. Otherwise I highly recommend them. I purchased one to try out, liked them, then purchased 2 more.

I work in andministration and respond to operational calls on occasion. These pants are ideal for such. "administrative look" and "operationally functional". They fit amazing. I am 6" 2" and 300lbs and its hard to find pants that dont fit too narrow or are too wide. These are great. I began ordering them for others. They fit very well with tactical type hiking shoes and casual shoes. Have not faded like other ripstop products. I also love that that they are amazingly light in weight. I didnt realize how heavy my other pants are.
