Wore them during a shift and I was nearly bleeding from chaffing. These pants are made of an extremely stiff material and the elastic waistband holds everything way to close to the body. If anything is in the cargo pockets the items will be pressed against your legs, even a small flashlight is going to be rubbing against you as you walk. The material is also very thick/stiff and prevents movement somewhat. The sizing system is my main gripe, I ordered the 27-31 inch waist which should fit fine but because the elastic is so strong they stay a size 27 no matter what, which is probably what's causing the restrictiveness and chaffing as my waist is 29-30. They should just use a normal sizing system, its universal for a reason. I used to like 5.11 but now will be wary of the name, their products seem to be over-engineered or under-engineered in all the wrong places.

Every since i purchased my first pair of 5.11 tdu . I will Never buy any other brand. The are my most best pair of tdu. Just the quality only beats tru - spect , propper, under armour. Thats enough on its own .i wear them in the field, at work , even when im out in the streets, 5.11 ARE THE BEST.....HANDS DOWN....

Good quality but 5.11 sizings are a little off. I'm a wear a 38 in every other manufacturers pants, 5.11 sizing says that equates to a large Which is for 35.5 to 39 inch waist. They are wearable but much tighter than other tactical pants I wear including my uniforms!

When ever you have a natural fiber blend of clothing it will naturally soften and fade. Dark colors the most. If it's fading out all I do is buy the best dark navy dye and throw them in the wash and they are ready to go. If you wear the 100% polyester clothing, your body will not breath. It's a cheaper way out, but; your job performance is affected. I work every day outside 365 a day.

I just ordered my first pair of 511 pants and was so excited when I received them. I tried them on and everything fit perfectly, except the waist. I ordered my normal waist size and with the elastic in the waist band I felt sure they would fit, but they were too small. Even though I'm a big guy, I was still disappointed with the waist fit, but that's all!

My son loves this pants he wears them for his job. The pockets are very handy in his job.

Best bdu pant for the price. Durable and comfortable. Just need to work on colorfastness

I wish that these pants were more colorfast. I find that driving around all day I see them fading on my thigh area...is that from bleaching in the Sun?

Product is lightweight and fits just right. Enough pockets to work patrol.
