Soft yet tough, 5.11 Utili-T Shirts are woven from ring-spun cotton and can be worn under ballistic vests and uniforms, or on its own as regular wear. Longer than most crew-neck t-shirts, the Utili-T will stay tucked in, keeping you looking professional. Law enforcement, military, and fire professionals demand a high-quality shirt, and Utili-T delivers. The all-cotton material includes double-needle tailoring at the shoulders and a no-roll, high-density collar that won't sag or fray. What's more, the printed label won't irritate your neck, and the shirts are tapered to reduce bulging around the midsection. The ultimate in comfort and fit, you'll find the Utili-T is the best base-layer you've ever worn, whether you're at the range, hustling on-duty, or mowing the lawn.

I am disappointed with the crew neck on the Dark Navy Utili-t t-shirts. They are not tight fitting around the neck like previous utili-t t-shirts I have purchased over the years. The black version I purchased along with the dark navy are considerably better than the navy, as I recently contacted 5.11 with this information. They are willing to replace my dark navy shirts and seem to be aware of the problem. I am happy they replied to me and are willing to help me resolve the issue.

5.11 has a lot of good gear. This T is a good weight to wear as an undershirt for me. Despite the advertising saying it's a little longer to stay tucked in, it actually seems to be a pretty normal length. An XL is a little snug on me (I'm 6' 220lbs). Thats a good thing for me as I really use these as undershirts and don't want extra bulk.
Best T shirts for me so far are from Lands End (you can order tall sizes).

This shirt is the perfect under shirt for uniforms. In my profession I have to wear 100% cotton so the "under armour" type is out of the question. It wicks sweat away, sleeves don't hang out on short sleeve uniform shirt, and stays tucked in with it longer than standard length. Last shirts I had lasted 4 years before showing wear.

I ordered a men's small, as that's usually what I've been in 5.11, and they fit great. A bit thinner than I had expected (compared to their professional Ts), but still very nice, and the longer tail helps them stay tucked.
Will buy again when I've thouroughly worn these out.

Not as heavy material as the last 2 purchases. Also does not have the 5.11 logo on the left sleeve that I liked so I knew I was grabbing my under shirts. Also don't know why they had to put a blank tag sewn into the bottom stitching.

Bought these as uniform shirts to wear under my vest. I tried synthetic wicking shirts they got funky and were not really the comfortable. I like the cotton, light, comfortable and nice and long to stay tucked in.

The shirts are great. Meet all the military requirements: hundred percent cotton so forth. Also I'm a 6' 11 man. The actual length: is perfect. A lot better than what they gave us the basic. Always had to tuck that shirt in like crazy. This tuck in the morning and good to go. Breathes very well barely even know you're wearing it. Overall a great under shirt..

These shirts are very comfortable. They are long so they stay tucked in well. They do shrink up if you are like me and use a laundromat. I purchased a size larger and they fit great.

I've purchased many brands trying to find a shirt that isn't too wide and is long enough to stay tucked in.
This is finally the one. More expensive but what I want and well made.

Awesome shirt. It's long so it stays tucked under my body armor. It is slightly different than the ones I bought a couple years ago but ate a few washes the quality is still there.
