Lightweight and durable to perform in the toughest missions, the Danner 8" Tanicus Hot offers everything you need in a military boot without a lengthy break-in period. An extra layer of cushioning in the midsole and a dampening heel cup offer comfort that will support your feet right out of the box and after many uses without breaking down. Your feet won't be uncomfortable in hot climates thanks to the moisture-wicking mesh liner that will keep your feet cool and dry. If you'll be crossing over a rugged terrain, the pentagonal lugs along the outsole will give you improved stability and traction.

The toe box is extremely narrow and tight. Got blisters in 30 minutes. I’ll usually wait for the boots to break in on their own, but for these I had to beat the crap out of it with a mallet to try and get the toebox to loosen up. It’s gotten better since, but since my pinky toes are all jacked up I can’t tell if it really worked. I got a wide fit boot too. Length is fine, go tts. Otherwise it’s nice and cushiony inside, fairly lightweight and looks good. I would recommend getting the extra wide version unless you have a stick foot, then just get normal wide. The regular fit ones should be good for people with 4 toes.

The Tanicus is an amazingly comfortable boot. At 54 years old I have been working construction and an avid outdoorsman all of my life and I can tell you that this is my 2nd pair of these and they are AWESOME. Extremely comfortable in Texas heat and Nevada desert.
I do highly recommend them to anyone. I wear a 12EE in most shoes and these are true to size.

These boots to me are like wearing tennis shoes. Super light and a lot cooler in temperature than regular boots.
The only con I have which really isn’t a big deal is I like to wear insoles that support my flattish feet. And when I used my insoles with this boot they squeak when I walked at a slow creep. But the boots are comfortable. I have not taken them to any training yet though.
I’ve always liked Danner and so far I would buy again.

Overall good boot . The price was appropriate and TG did a great job with keeping my posted on the status of my order. The only reason why I’m not giving this boot five stars is due to a stitching on the tongue of the boot. There are two folds on each side of the boot at rub the ankle bone, thus causing some discomfort. Unsure why Danner created the boot this way. I’m sure that within time these folds will soften up and the discomfort will go away.

Theses boots are lighter then tennis shoes with all the comfort of and protection of a solid boot. That's what these are. Excellent multi purpose boots. For an affordable price.

Fits well for me right out of the box. I have a wide fore foot, higher arch and narrower heel. Fit: feels more sneaker than a boot. I needed a boot that had the capability to breath better than all leather boots. A friend had recommended this model. Boots breath very well in hot muggy conditions and also dry hot conditions. Very happy so far

Wanted a comfortable boot for long rucks and this fit the bill. I add a good insole and have had no complaints during long rucks and long days on my feet.

Nice boots and a very level of manufacturing quality. The potential problem is in the design. At least for me and some others, the boots pinched my ankles right at the bend. No variations in lacing seemed to help. FYI, they run about a half size small.

I bought these for my 9 year old son. My husband is former Army and still wears his boots and uniform around the house. My son has grown to love both. He wanted boots to go with his fatigues so I bought these. They were a great price and he loves them
