For those seeking maneuverability as well as tactical utility in high temperatures, the relentless McCrae 8" Mil-Spec HW boot is engineered to provide optimum comfort and traction on rough terrain. Both durable and comfortable, the full-grain tan suede and Cordura leather upper is suited for long-lasting wearability, and is ventilated to prevent overheating. The Vibram Sierra outsole maintains grip on rocky, uneven terrain and offers oil, slip and acid resistance. An internal padded collar protects the wearer from injury and the cushioned polyurethane insole ensures comfort, but is also removable. Nylon-coated brass drainage vents pump out excess heat and promote a cool, dry interior and the speedhook lacing system is perfect rapid operations. The blend of support, ventilation and lightness makes this boot the ultimate hot-weather option.

For people looking over this site to buy boots cause they are going to basic and you're going to Benning, these are the boots you're wearing whether you like it or not. They suck till you break them in. They litterally gave my feet stress fractures, a knee problem and blisters the size of the spiders out there. I still love and wear the damn things, but I'm still going to admit they freaking suck while you're going through all the stupid crap Drill Sergeants come up with. Also, before you buy these to try and break them in before Basic training so you can bring a "cheater" pair with you, I'd only advise against it since there is a chance they might have changed the pair they issue anymore ontop of the chance they'll screw with you like the reception sergeants telling your training sergeants to check your boots and making you put the working pair in your personal bag

I don't know if it's just my pair that I received, but this boot gave me really terrible blisters and unusually sore feet while first breaking them in. Even long after break-in, it still messes up my heels after an extended time. The only time I don't feel any pain at all is when I'm stationary, but that doesn't really make these boots useful. Can't always trust everything military-issued, unfortunately

I've worn this boots for about 4-5 years, the soul still feels great, the harder plastic started to fall off a year again but they are still good. There's a small hole near my big toe in both boots, and I've ran these things through hell and back. If the only thing that is wrong with them is a little hole and tread, i'm buying two more pairs

I served in the US army and this boot is what was issued. It builds calluses quickly on your feet and at times it is a pain, but given time it feels like wearing slippers.

I've had this same pair of boots since highschool and even after deployment. They have never failed me in the 6 years I've worn them. Only very recently did the sole of the shoe wear down so much (after 6 years and thousands of miles) that it made walking somewhat uncomfortable.

I love these boots. McRae makes some amazing boots. Very little is needed to break them in, good pricing, what's not to like?

I've worn these boots now for 4 years with two deployments to afghanistan. I've had them resoled once and finally they just gave out and blew a huge hole in the side and the heel. What more can you ask for. This is a great boot.

Was issued these in 2009 for BCT, worn almost every day since, I couldnt ask for more there very well built (the boots themselves are in great shape I just wore the tread off them) very fexable and conforable once they get broke in.

I wore them a few times, and have given me terrible blisters. The heel rubs badly, and will leave you raw.

Many people are saying they cause blisters because they get the wrong size. If you get the correct size you will love them as much as I do. I have been in for 6 years and only on my third pair so they last.
