The minute you slip on Propper's tactical pants, you'll become a believer. The nine-pocket design is the true calling card of the style, making it ideal for the operator on the move. The two front pockets are double-stitched. There are two rear patch pockets that each feature a hook and loop closure. In the rear pockets, you can find wallet pockets to keep your valuables safe. Two cargo pockets have a flap with a hook and loop closure, and the cell phone pocket can fit your smart phone. Finally, the internal knee pad pocket gives you the option of adding pads for extra joint protection. The fabric is a blend of polyester and cotton canvas to give you durable comfort and protection. It fights off fading, wrinkling and shrinking; plus, it features a DuPont teflon treatment, which keeps liquids and stains from wreaking havoc. The double seat and knee give extra reinforcement.

Let me say I have been buying and wearing these pants since their introduction and I love them! they are tough as nails, I still have my first pair and still wear them on weekends just the bottom of the pockets have come apart, I have noticed on this last purchase, 10/2014 that Propper has changed the fit of the pants, along with some other minor changes, they seem to fit more snug in the crotch, and rear end, which is actually a good thing, the older version would bind up on you due to the extra room. I would give these pants 5 stars if they would put a regular button waist closure above the zipper, the Prym snap thing sucks, bending at the waist, whether it be to cuff someone, or what have you and it unsnaps everytime! simple put a button 5 stars, I have to put a button so 4 stars! as far as the order process goes it was perfect again! ordered them Monday morning at 8 am they arrived at my house Tuesday by UPS unreal how quick they are

These tactical pants are about the best on the market, I've owned 4 pairs now, one got destroyed by leaving a blue pen in the pocket once, and I've still got the other three. The 9 pocket design is actually more like 11, 2 front pockets (the right front pocket has a small slot for a coin or something deep in there plus a knife [traditionally a pocketwatch slot but adapted for knife] slot for a fairly small pocket knife) on the back pockets they are fairly deep pockets (about 11 inches deep) with a secondary pocket for your wallet or phone that sits higher in the pocket. 2 cargo pockets (that don't sag) and a recently upgraded phone pocket (holds my iphone 7 with otter box slim perfect). Best pants I've ever owned, just try to stay away from things like rust and highschool tracks (the dye in the track will stain the pants if you don't wash it right away)

1. Those little pockets with in pockets are nice in general, but not well thought out:
a. Favors right-handed rather than left.
b. Rear pocket pocket interferes with placing large objects in otherwise capacious rear pocket.
2. No pockets specifically for knives, and no reinforced areas on pocket edges to resist wear from pocket clips.

Thicker fabric is good for cold weather, which is why I chose it.

These pants are GREAT! Just got my seventh pair of khaki and first pair of black. A couple of weeks ago all my Proppers were in the laundry so I went to the bottom of my drawer and put on a near new pair of “docker” style pants. I felt naked…no substance to them. The next day my change fell through the front pocket of my oldest (5 years) pair of Proppers. The surprise was that the pocket lasted this long with all the sharp cornered things I stuff in it. So that gave me an excuse for a new pair of khaki plus my first pair of black Propper tactical pants. BTW I’ll mend that pocket and keep my oldest pair in service along with the newest as they are tough as nails and look great when working dirty or wearing a sport coat. Did I say these are GREAT PANTS!

Got my fifth and sixth pair last week. Interesting how the fabric has changed since the first two pair more than three years ago to a coarser, probably tougher feel. Fit according to size and plenty of roomy pockets, Purchased my first two pair of Proper shortly prior to two pair of 511 tactical. Those first Proper pants are going strong after more than three years while the 511s were worn through at seams, in the crotch, and falling apart in a few months. Now I wear my Proper Tactical Pants almost daily, wash them after one or two day's wear, and all six pair look great when working dirty or wearing a sport coat. They seem to shed stains, dirt, abrasion, and moisture. Great Pants!

I spent 5yrs I. The USMC Infantry. I wore cammies every day of my life. Since then, I have been searching for something that blended comfort with functionality in the pants region. These are just that and more! The ass pockets have pockets inside the pockets for your wallet so you can stuff other thing things in there and not get in the way. There is extra material sewn in right where your pocket knife clips in so it doesn't wear out. They are water resistant, so if you are like me and quite messy, you are still good to wear these for 3-4 days without people noticing any stains. Great pants overall, I love them and can't wait to try the lightweight version this summer.

I've been looking for a good pair of shooting pants for awhile and found Tactical Pants.com by a click of the mouse. Great site all the top brands in one place so you can compare and read reviews. Based on the reviews and price I ordered 2 pair. Got them today, fast delivery and Wow! Fit was same as my jeans size , great belt included. Fabric is very comfortable even without washing the newness out . They look great and because they have a pleated front unlike all the other brands which have flat fronts, when you wear them out to dinner you don't look like you're going to war. Took my wife to dinner wearing the grey which is lighter in color than the picture and she thought they looked nice. Top quality everywhere , stitching , pockets and plenty of room in the crotch when you squat or kneel . I liked them so much that I'm ordering another pair and I would have said they were perfect if I could slide a Magpul 30 straight up in the cargo pocket, although it fits straight up in the side slash pockets. One more thing I got the lightweight and some of the reviewers said they were comfortable in hot climates, well it was 2 degrees today in Illinois and when I went out I was just as comfortable as I would have been in slacks or jeans. As I said to my closest friend " buy them , you won't be disappointed."

I'm a field scientist and discovered these pants about eight years ago. They're tough, functional, and socially passable. I wear them in the field, in the snow, on the boat, in the lab, in the machine shop, and in the lecture hall. I don't think I've actually worn a pair out, but all of mine have accumulated a few stains and minor frayed edges. One ripped in the crotch a bit - they're not quite as accommodating for vigorous activity as are gusseted BDUs. The phone pocket fits my iPhone perfectly. I don't use the wallet pocket-in-pockets. I actually find them a bit annoying, and my wallet doesn't fit into them, but I do use the ones in the front pockets. Instead, I'd rather have the PiP or some organizing loops in the cargo pockets. And as some of the other reviews noted, there seem to be some sizing issues lately - the last pair I ordered was too large in the waist and too short on the inseam. The knee pad pockets are a real lifesaver in the field and in the garage!

I have purchased 5 pair of these wonderful pants. They have held up to day after day of work at a busy grocery store unloading trucks.

The pants are stain and bleach resistant and shed water well (at least for the first couple of months). There is a pocket on them for everything; including flashlight, box cutter, knives, etc.

The only wear was on my first pair. After wearing every day for two years, the right pocket developed a hole and had to be patched.

I'm an electrician and I started wearing Propper tactical pants a few years back when I just got totally tired of spending big money on "work" pants from the likes of Carhartt, Wrangler and others that I barely got a year's wear out of. These have held up much better than any other pants I've used (two years already on my first pairs) and the pockets are great for both tools and parts. I haven't tried stuffing the knee pads yet, but I might...
