The Rocky 8" Fort Hood SZ WP offers a lightweight, waterproof design that is an ideal duty boot for long, hot days. These boots are built with a guaranteed Rocky waterproof construction and a non-insulated interior, resulting in a breathable, sweat-free wear in hot, dry environments. Its full-grain polishable leather and 1200 denier Cordura upper means it is built to last, but the lightweight design ensures high performance. The rubber SWAT-style outsole comes with specially-designed nubs that grip uneven terrain with ease. The D-ring lacing system paired with a side zipper gives quick, convenient access in and out of the boots.

I ordered these boots a little over a month ago. Originally, Rocky sent me the wrong boot. They were pretty quick to correct the issue and paid for shipping to send the wrong pair back, although I was still charged for shipping for the boots I actually ordered. When the right boots finally arrived, I immediately started wearing them to work. I wore them for about two days before I had to take a break. They were pretty stiff and were hurting my feet and ankles, actually rubbing them until they bled in places. After a few days, they were broken in. They're very comfortable now. The newest problem I've run into is that they seem to have lost their resistance to water. Feet have been a little soggy the past couple days. I would probably order these boots again because they are pretty comfortable now and very durable, but I may explore other options first.

I have owned a pair of these boots for almost a year now, and I can honestly say that they are the most comfortable boots I've worn to date. The zipper feature is awesome; it is heavy duty and well built (unlike some zippers that look like they were taken off of a high school back-pack). The boot is waterproof up the length of the boot (tested in the field)! The traction/grip is amazing! It insulates well but does not cause overheating (in California).

The leather does take some patience to polish to a proper uniform shine, but it is well worth it.

I highly recommend this boot for law enforcement, paintball (personal experience with both); or any other use that needs a good, comfy boot!

When I first got these boots I thought I made a big mistake. Not comfortable and pretty stiff. I couldn't take 10 steps without the buttons popping open. Give these boots some time. It took about 2 weeks (80-100 hours) to break in. They are now pretty comfortable. The buttons still pop open every now and then, but not like they did when I first bought them. The zipper started off really rough and hard to zip up and down. The zipper is much better now and just needed to be broken in as well.

I wear these boots for work with 10 hours shifts. I like the side zip which I believe will save on wear and tear when taking them on and off. I am happy now that they are broken in.

So far they have been really good. I've had them for about 3 weeks now and I wear them 5 days a week, 8 hrs a day as a police officer. The first day was a little rough. There is definitely a break-in period but I noticed a major difference by the second day and now they are very comfortable.

I wish the boots had a pull-on strap in the rear. It would useful. Otherwise, good, thick zipper, the soles aren't coming off, and they're pretty comfortable after the short break-in period.

I recently bought these boots to work in and I'm quite glad that I did. Quality, comfort and dependability don't often come in the same package. So, I'm pleased to let you know about how satisfied I am. Thanks so much and continued success.

I bought these boots two months ago and already the heel area inside the boots have a hole in them.I've been a Rocky customer for a long time but the quality of this boot is not great. It took me almost three weeks to break them in.I hope Rocky gets this review and takes it to heart because if I purchase another poor quality boot from Rocky it will be the last.

These boots are awesome. I spend a lot of time on my feet at work, and these have a nice amount of cushioning. My feet didn't hurt after a straight 8 at work.

I wish they made an insulated version, as I live in northern WI, and it sometimes gets cold here in the winter, despite global warming.

You won't regret buying these.

The quality of the shoes are outstanding. The Rocky boots are not true to size. I ordered a size 12M and the boots were too narrow. Will return an reorder a wide.

Tactical Gear had really fast shipping. I bought these Rocky Boots again because they are comfortable and my last pair lasted almost 3 years with heavy use.
