Got these boots because i was getting tired of the short lifespan of the Nike SFB. Wore these boots to work for a few days before taking them on a 2 mile ruck over even terrain and a 70lb ruck @ a 13min/mile pace. Didnt get any blisters however the boots did start to get a little warm. Later that week i took them on a 6 mile ruck over hilly uneven terrain in mud, clay, and sand. Got the boots soaked beforehand in a deep puddle and was amazed at the speed which they dried out. These was some sloshing for about 1/8mi but by 1 mile after getting them soaked they were dried out a significant amount. I was amazed by the 'Walk them dry" feature advertised so I proceeded to try it again and got the same quick drying result. After i brought them home i washed them off with a hose and it actually took longer to dry having them sit out than it did while rucking with them. This ruck march with soaking wet boots/feet the whole time also resulted in no blisters. I generally get at least 1 blister on my achilles under the same conditions with the Nike SFB. I will be getting another pair, but this time the 101's to see what difference the extra drainage holes and "Superfabric" material do for this already amazing boot.
Pros: Extremely fast break in, Quick drying while rucking
Cons: Can get rather hot when not wet

I purchased these boots in the Sage color about four years ago. These boots are so soft and comfortable, I ordered Coyote, Black and the Desert colors over a several month timeframe. I alternate between colors every week or so. No complaints with either pair. They have held up very well with normal use. I wish these were available during my military career. I retired from the military with some disabilities. Strangely, these boots allow me to stand in place for a longer period of time, walk further and relieves some of my back pain. One added note about sizing (for me anyways). I normally wear a size 12D, however, the older I have gotten, my feet seem to swell during the warmer and hotter days of spring and summer. Therefore, I went with a size 13W. The boots fit perfectly. During the winter months I wear a thicker pair of socks. If your feet swell occasionally, keep this in mind. Otherwise, order your normal size boot. I really like these boots. Hope this helps.

I wore Danners and loved them prior to the uniform change to OCP. I wore those Danners out and needed a new pair. Was reluctant to switch to Rocky's but I needed a new pair now. I am not disappointed in any way with the Rocky S2V boot. I use gel inserts in my boots despite the fact they already have support built in. I ordered my regular size and when I put inserts in, tad too tight. Had to send back and get next half-size up. Now with the right size, they fit very well and are extremely comfortable. I have nothing bad to say about these boots. I really like the support in the heel and ankle. Appreciate the military discount with tacticalgear.com. Saved $25 from Exchange price. No hassle refund on the pair I sent back.

All the other color which I only wear (AR670-1 compliant) Coyote.is a good boot although I have 2 pair from when I was deployed if you get them correct side they seem to run on back ankle get half size up if your 9 get a 9.5 or wear them in shower take them off to the point they’re still wet but not soaked and walk in them for a while do t have to stay in them all day just walk in them 5-20 mins to be sure but is an awesome boot to ruck and is doable for running in ankle support is money.i used these in my pre ranger and the only time they suck is when you do your combat water survival test which is swimming in a pool real deep pool. They were an issue in that so if y’all are looking for a great rucking/landnav/ garison and comabt deployment boot your looking at them but I’d lower price on the tan pair of rocky because they are only going for coyote in some time of 2018 good luck on anything y’all do and great job for providing this product

I've been through a lot of boots over the years in the Army, as a Police Officer, a FireFighter, Aircraft Mechanic & Pilot. I have NEVER, NOT ONCE, HAD MY FEET IN BOOTS AS FANTASTIC AS THESE ARE!! They were broken in BEFORE my feet ever hit them!! They have the best feeling on my feet they seem to be floating instead of walking!! I bought a pair for my Wife, (who normally hates boots), over her negative feelings I got her to try them & now she wants a spare pair or two, "just in case"!! I've never owned a pair of Rocky Boots, that has now changed!! I will buy us both a spare pair, "just in case"!! Thanks Rocky!! Ed & Michele

I have had a heck of a time finding a good pair of boots that fits right. Usually its choosing the boot that has the features I want, waterproof or side zip for example, and sacrificing on fit. I've had boots that were a little too wide, a little too narrow, poorly made, and of course I've worn boots that were a little too small. My feet let me know very quickly when those problems were present. The boots also didn't last very long, even for $125 boots.
The S2V is my first Rocky boot and I am very happy with them. My left foot measures for a 12.5 and my right for a 12, that meant in the past that I had to get a 13 and I would almost always get blisters and other problems because my right foot would slip inside the boot. These are available in a 12.5 and they fit perfectly. Wide enough without being too wide. Snug without being tight so I can tie them on securely without pulling down hard on the laces. Being in law enforcement my feet need to have good boots wrapped around them and I finally found them with these. I now have two pairs in black, one in tan, and will soon get the brown/ mojave. These will be on my feet as long as rocky makes them.

See my other review on here for the same boot in a size 12W. I really want these boots to work, but still having sizing issues. When I got the 12W, which is a normal size for me, they were way too tight. My toes were touching the front of the boots. I was informed that a 13W was only 1/3 of an inch longer, so I skipped the 12.5 and went to the 13. The 13 is not only too long in regards to the last, but I can't lace them tight enough to prevent my whole ankle/foot from sliding back and forth. Trying to decide if I should go to a 12.5 or check out Lowa or Salomon.

I got these boots a few years ago, and was scrolling through reviews to see if anyone mentioned similar experiences using them in a machine shop, or for mechanic duties that might have suggested the chemical resistance might’ve improved. I’d love to be able to think they were a good option again. I thought I’d leave some feedback since it doesn’t seem to be an issue anyone’s pointed out.
They are some of my all time favorite boots, and They honestly felt like I was wearing well broken in running shoes. I was working as a watercraft tech in a large shop with smooth concrete floors, and frequent exposure to spills of oil, cleaners, and gas. The soles unfortunately wore almost completely smooth after only a couple months of that. It was so bad that when the entrance (incline similar to a steeper residential driveway where the house is closer to the curb than typical) to the garage had been hosed off, I couldn’t make it to the front desk without a running start. It’s Pretty awkward to be talking to a customer, and suddenly flail to keep your balance and start sliding away from them.

Haven't been able to wear these yet, just inside the house. I consistently run a 12 Wide in all boots and shoes, but found these to be both short and narrow. I'm returning them for a pair of 13 Wide to try. The only other thing I noticed odd was the seam around the sole is slightly separated above the area where it is stitched. I don't believe it's just the ones I ordered, as this is visible on the website picture as well.
As far as improvements go, a pull tab on the upper rear of the boot would be a convenient addition.

I bought these for a Christmas present for my boyfriend. He is retired from the military and now works in law enforcement. He still has this same boot in a khaki/camel color and has always said these were the best boots he’s ever had. He is very happy with these and couldn’t ask for a better boot.
They fit perfectly. True to size. He’s an 11 wide. They are not waterproof but they’re protected pretty well. Well made, quality material, and good looking. I like them on him.
