The Tactical Research Khyber Lightweight Tactical SZ boot is engineered to deliver superior arch support, comfort, and all-terrain grip. With a durable, full-grain leather upper, this boot is suited for military service, but can handle the rigors of any field of work. The Vibram Ibex outsole is engineered to traverse rocky, uneven mountainous terrain with ease, thanks to a unique, multi-directional lug pattern that maintains traction in any conditions. Every Tactical Research boot is built with the TR-1 orthotic insole, which is rigid enough to reduce arch fatigue, but comfortable enough for long periods of wear. A critical component of any tactical boot is the heel cup, which is built in atop the midsole to stop ankle injuries and maintain a secure, stable fit. The hydrophilic lining wicks away excess moisture and pumps heat out of the boot, while the padded tongue adds comfort. This model features a side zipper for convenient removal.

I have bought three pair of these boots, one part for around the house and town... one pair for work and the last pair gave to my son who fell in love with them...wanted to buy them from me... this says a lot because he wears sneakers 24/7 being a coach.
I've worn boots all my life...some were good for the time, including the many pairs of the jungle boot worn in my four+ tours in Vietnam... When you first put on a pair of boots you can tell if they going to fit you needs or not...The Tactical Research Khyber Lightweight Tactical SZ did that and more, I've not gone back to my old boots which still have a lot of wear left in them... probably will donate them.
If you're looking for a lite weight and comfort I would say try these boots... my bet is you'll like them.
Sincerely,
The oldgoat_3

I bought these boots just to knock around in. They are comfortable right out of the box and look good. I ordered size 11EE which seems slightly wider than my Matterhorn 11EE's and in the Converse I am wearing a 10.5D. Now for the bad. The zipper worries me a bit. It is more like the zipper in my pants than a good heavy duty boot zipper such as the Converse boots have. I would order the zipperless model if you will be dodging enemy fire in the middle of nowhere! Overall, I do like these boots [for the tread, the style and comfort] but if I was going to be dropped in the middle of the desert, I would have to go with the Converse zip up desert boots.

Not what I thought! I have these shoes for almost a year now, but here is the kicker I just started wearing them at the start of summer. I teach PPCT classes and wanted to give my other boots (Nike Tactical) a break. To my surprise these boots didn’t even start out well so I thought that I would give them some time to break-them-in, the boots broke down. I’m just not happy with this beautiful looking boot! I have almost rolled my ankle many times in these boots. I have worn them out on patrol and they look great, but very uncomfortable. I’m sorry; they are not what I thought.

These boots were extremely comfortable and fit perfectly, out of the box. As an operator with extensive knee pain, these boots have provided a level of relief not found in more expensive boots. I highly recommend these boots not only for their comfort, but fit, quality and design.

I've been in the military and law enforcement for 29 plus years and these are, by far, the most comfortable tactical boots I have ever worn. I'm talking comfortable right out of the box! Check out the reviews like I did, buy these boots, wear them and you will echo my praises.

So far the most comfortable boots I've owned in 27 yrs of patrolling the streets. I've owned many brands over the years so I can attest that for me, these are the best boot I've owned. Time will tell if they hold up, but for the price, I will buy another pair for sure.

Most comfortable boots I've ever owned from the very first time I put them on. I'm 6' 5", 300 pounds, I wear a size 13 wide and have high arches. Comfortable shoes are very hard to find. I wear these boots long hours and for a wide variety of activities, from prone rifle shooting, hiking / climbing and as a work boot. These boots are more comfortable than most athletic / tennis shoes I have owned. I've not had them very long but they show absolutely no wear and I usually destroy footwear in a short time.

I work a dog all day which includes a good amount of running.
I have had these boots for about a month and so far they are the worst boots I have purchased. The ankle support are horrible, I come home everyday with pain in my feet and ankles.
I can feel my heels moving in the boot with every step and both my big toes are starting to have cuts on them from the lining on the inside of the boot. Also it seems like the bottom of the boot are actually smaller then the actual boot which causes your feet to hang over the edge.

These boots are the first I've ever wanted to write a review for because they are THAT good. I've used them to go running 4 miles at a time and also to help during flood cleanup work here in town. If you're really in the muck and grime, the treads can hold a lot of mud, but it's pretty easy to kick off. Exterior cleans easily and I've had no issues with the zip side, even with heavy socks and dirt. Interior is very comfortable and works right out of the box. Will definitely buy again.
