TRU-SPEC designs its 24-7 Series tactical lightweight shorts with its "engineered dimensional fit" to provide a nearly perfect fit in both the waist and rise. These shorts are ideal for warm weather environments and transition smoothly from on duty to off. The shorts are pretreated with a garment wash that prevents shrinkage and color fading even after multiple washes. They also incorporate comfort-fit slider waistband technology that removes the need for gathered elastic or adjustable side tabs, ensuring an exceptionally comfortable fit suitable for all-day wear. Deep front pockets and sturdy cargo pockets let you securely carry backup magazines, knives, cell phone and other essential gear. Large 1.75" belt loops accommodate most tactical and standard belts.

I'm 5'10 and 190lbs. The size 34 shorts fit perfectly and fall right at the knee. Not too long or too short for my preferences. The waistband makes it very comfortable to carry IWB. Pockets are great. Knife pocket comes in really handy. I also like the flaps over the back pockets. My only suggestion would be to make the belt loops a bit bigger. A rigger's belt will fit through them but it's a bit of a struggle. It's worth it though. I got the khaki and color looks great. Will probably order more.

I'm a big dude, and I love that I can get these shorts in my size. The length is nice (I'm not a fan of the below-the-knee shorts), and all the pockets are awesome. The only things I don't like about these are:
1) There's only 5 belt loops. If you've got a 50-inch waist, that's nearly a foot of fabric between belt loops, so the fabric droops between them.
2) The fabric is pretty stiff. I've washed mine a couple of times to see if they'll soften-up, but so far no luck. It's not a huge deal, but compared with denim or khakis, this fabric is crunchy.

I have 9 pair of 24-7 Lightweight Tactical pants or shorts. They are all I wear as I appreciate the organization, fit, comfort and quality. I keep my cell phone in one of the magazine pockets. The magazine pockets in this most recent pair of shorts were sewn too small to use so I returned them. The return process was excellent. The representative authorized return shipping, immediately shipped out another pair and reduced the price to the current sale price. I will continue to buy 24-7 products.

Very comfortable. OWB or IWB primary pistol carry well w/belt loops in the right places for left double mag holder & custom holster for .40 & .45 double stacker pistols. Pistol backups: Sig 9mm P938 or S&W Shield .40, each single stackers, in a pocket holster, conceal well in in a rear pocket. The back up mags fit well in the interior pockets on each lower leg. Spyderscos fit well in left & right pockets. Exterior lower pockets are too small.

The 36W shorts fit true to size. Hopefully it won't expect to shrink considering that it's 65/35 poly/cotton.
Hopefully, the elastic waistband will last a few years as they tend to stretch out over time, at least in other brand's pants I've owned.
I'm used to 5" or 7" shorts so these are a bit long. Wished that companies would make shorter 7" shorts as there's some Abnormal obsession with long shorts! Some guys DO like SHORT inseam shorts!
The 24-7 ripstop fabric seems heavier than the 5.11 version but sturdier though time will tell. It's relatively pricey so hopefully the shorts will last a few years.
The small-sized side pockets barely hold an encased iPhone 5S so it's really meant to carry something smaller, like a mag clip, as the iPhone's top sticks up from the pocket flap.
Wallet fits fine in the back but is a bit tight when sitting down so it's better to be placed in either the front or cargo pockets.
The velcro should be replaced with buttons instead. The fabric makes a slight swishing noise when moving but hopefully it will disappear as it's washed and worn over time.
The khaki color is more of a DARK Khaki than what the photo shows instead of a typical light sand-colored khaki.
It does get a bit wrinkly so some ironing may be needed to remedy that.

I have spilled bb-q sauce, bacon grease and blood on theses shorts and had no stains from it. They never wrinkle or get all stretched out. So freakin comfy with the elastic in the front, i can squat crawl whatever in them, they dry so quick to. lovem bought three in different colors an absolute must have for me and the durability makes the standard old bdu shorts look like k-mart jobs. Get your self a pair and go camping then don't wash them for a month and when you do it will be clear then because they will still be new.

Seems ok, but the pair of pockets internal to the cargo pockets are no longer the same size & at least one of the two is smaller than it used to be. The velcro closures, especially on the smaller two outside pockets, were inferior quality on the pairs I purchased last year. I won't know about these new ones until they are washed a number of times. I wear Tru-Spec 24/7 Light Weight Series cargo pants & shorts exclusively & have for the past 8 years. They have worn like iron and only faded after several years of constant use. My hope is that these will perform as well.

I like the design a lot and the shorts fit good when I am standing up. Because the material felt very stiff, and they seemed to fit, I decided to wash them before wearing. Unfortunately, when I wear them, they have NO stretch in them at all, so when I sit they are super uncomfortable. I am not sure I will ever wear them anywhere now, but since I washed them, I can't return them.
