Built to perform, the BDU Xtreme uniform was developed in partnership with A-TACS Camo and was created with the input of special operations and law enforcement personnel. This hybrid uniform design bridges the gap between the original BDU and the modern ACU by incorporating the best features of both. Cut from soft, yet durable 50 / 50 vat dyed Cordura NYCO that resists fading and shrinking.

The shirt has everything you need and nothing you don't. Definitely nice to get rid of all that Velcro and zipper found on ACU/TRU.
Fit is true to size. I'm right between Medium and Large so got one of each. Medium for warm weather and Large for cold (layers).
Shirt is markedly more comfortable than ACU/TRU, espescially in warmer conditions. Fabric is not as stiff and breathes well. Time will tell how durable and colorfast it is.
The AUx and FGx are a definite improvement over the old patterns. Better colors and breakup. ATACS has done a great job in designing a new family of patterns. They integrate well with each other, are very effective, and (IMO) look good as well.

Very disappointed in the missing upgrade features normally associated with this category of uniform shirt. It works okay as a uniform shirt, but no padded elbow pockets, or pen/pencil slots on lower sleeve, nor zippered hidden pockets behind upper sleeve pockets. Pretty pricey for a combat shirt with few features which are found on current military uniforms.

The only drawback(s) are the lack of elbow pockets for pad inserts and buttons in place of a zipper closure. Otherwise the lack of a mandarin collar design does not detract from the overall usefulness or look. The blouse fits well, is very well made and very durable nylon/cotton blend that is to be expected from Tru-spec garments. Instead of velcro hook and loop closures for the sleeve pockets there are two buttons but this too is not a deal breaker for me. I am 5'11", 166 lbs and the medium regular fits me perfectly. The length of the cut is also generous enough to hang down below the hips. For the price I would have liked to have some of the aforementioned items so altogether a 4.5 star item. If the price were lower it would be a 5 stars.

I liked the lack of Velcro on this jaket. Much more quiet. The only thing I would like to see is this jacket in the TD-X and original FG camouflage, for warmer weather hunting season.

Partly my fault but I was so excited at the new pattern and knew that Tru-spec was a good but pricey product. Kept the best parts did they?? Lack of zipper which isn't mentioned and the missing mandarin collar really just kills it for me. The buttons on the cuffs are up for review. More secure but with less adjustment. On the fence about whether to return and go with the multicam since I like the layout better. Sad.

I think this is an awesome product! The fabric is in a class all by itself. Very high comfort level!

Lighter weight than the TRU product line, but serviceable.
