I absolutely love this holster; it is a top shelf product all the way around! Great leather, great workmanship, great feel, great clip, and great smell. Fit is perfect and break in was incredibly simple with easy instructions. I will buy another holster from here for my SIG p226. Nice job 1791!!!

I recently bought a Glock 43 that came with a couple of Kydex IWB holsters that I’ve been using. Last week I went to my local gun shop to pick up a flush magazine and just happened to come across this holster without knowing anything about it. It looked great, so I decided to take the plunge. Wow, am I glad I did! This is, by far, the nicest and most comfortable holster I’ve ever owned. You genuinely forget that you’re wearing it. Break in period was fairly minimal, per the instructions that come with it. It is the perfect blend of retention with a smooth draw. The clip is strong, but not to the point where you struggle to put it on. The leather is soft and supple, and has that smell that we all know and love. This is the first holster I’ve owned that has the sweat guard and I can’t imagine ever going back. This is the perfect holster. Period. And at this price, you can buy one for every gun you have. 10/10, highly recommended.

I’m pretty particular about my firearms (aren’t we all) and my carry accessories. I’ve had this holster for about 4 months, I use it every day for a full sized 1911, and I just love it. First let me say that, even though your firearms will slip out of it if held upside down in the holster (how realistic is that in real world applications though), the retention is really good when worn like it’s supposed to be. On top of this, the holster is notably comfortable, not only because of the soft leather but because of the flap on the side which guards the firearm against salts from sweat when worn all day. Usually I wear an undershirt when concealing a firearm, even in the summer, which makes for some very uncomfortable and lengthy days. With this holster, I don’t have to worry about it and often don’t. Even against bare skin, it is oddly and pleasantly unnoticeable. Lastly, this holster hides my full-sized gun with ease, causing it to be inconspicuous in any position along the belt line: something that is a large feat for a lot of holsters. The undefined and fluid edges easily blur the heavy angular lines of a gun which scream to bystanders “this person is carrying something under their shirt.”I would buy this holster for any other firearm I intended to carry regularly.

Everything a ccw holster needs to be.
Extremely comfortable, great retention and the metal clip is secure but easy to get on or off.
I really like how soft the leather is on the skin vs kydex and the suede in the inside doesn’t scratch up the slide.

Just got my SCH-Smooth Concealed IWB holster for my S&W M&P 2.0 Shield 9mm and it fits like a glove! I didn’t even have to go through the suggested holster break-in instructions, with the plastic bag and all- it slide right in (snug) and it has formed perfectly to my pistol in only 2 days or so. I’ve carried it a few times now (when I leave the house to take care of essential shopping during COVID-19) and it’s VERY comfortable to conceal and it barely prints under a normal fitting shirt. I’ve got several IWB holsters and yours, by far, is the BEST fitting and MOST comfortable! My Shield is my EDC and so is YOUR holster! Thank you for making such an awesome product at such a fair price! 1791 Gun Leather ROCKS!!!

I purchased this model mid-2019 for my Ruger SP101 .357/.38 Cal. 3″ barrel revolver AIWB carry. Have used various holsters in many different carry-configurations (IWB, OWB, Ankle, etc.) over the 20 + yrs. I’ve owned this gun, but never been satisfied nor really comfortable until now. Who would have thought the most comfortable mode of carry for this heavy little gun would end up being AIWB? But, it is! Can carry all day standing or sitting, even driving without discomfort. I do also carry a G26 in a kydex AIWB holster real comfortably too, but not as comfortable as the leather SCH. Great job 1791!

I purchased one for my Sig P238. The holster was easy to break in, fits the firearm perfectly and is ecceptionally comfortable to wear all day. I originally purchased a Mitch Rosen holster for this gun. The 1791 holster was less than half the price and in my opinion, is ten times better than the more expensive holster. I am more than pleased with my 1791 holster.

After doing extensive research, I purchased this for my Sig P938. It fits extremely well, is very comfortable to carry, and smells nice as an added benefit! The clip is very strong, and I’ve worn it simply clipped to my pants with a belt over it – no issues with retention or slipping thus far. Break-in was very easy for me – didn’t need to use hot water or plastic bags – I just left my P938 in the holster for ~24hrs and it was good to go. Would definitely recommend – I’ll be purchasing more for my other carry guns as well.

very comfortable. fits my glock 17 perfectly after break in. i stick the holster under very hot water, then i place the gun in a plastic bag and place it in the holster. i let it dry with the gun in the plastic bag in the holster for 24hrs. then let dry for another 24hrs. after that, the gun is a perfect fit. i would recommend.
