The TRU-SPEC Nylon / Cotton Contractor Boonie was designed to comply with the U.S. State Department's mandate on clothing for contractors working abroad. Made of a nylon and cotton ripstop fabric, this hat offers all-day comfort and great protection from the sun. Loop fabric on the top provides space for attaching IR tape, and loop fabric on the front lets you attach patches and name tape. There is an interior map pocket for convenient, covert storage of important documents. Brass screen vents provide breathability, and an adjustable chin strap lets you secure the hat in place when you're moving quickly. Comfortable, durable and built for action, this boonie makes an excellent addition to your tactical wardrobe.

I bought this for the hook/loop fields hoping the adjustable part would work out. It may work somewhere but not in the West Texas wind. I will stick to hats with actual sizes. Fit was sloppy. Overall quality is fine. Fit is the only issue. It fit my dad's 7 5/8 head great. Not so for my 7 1/4.

This hat is perfect lightweight and works very well in high wind situations and heat, rain, cold. I like the way they designed this hat. Plenty of variations and airs out and drys fast and it does fit anyone. Great hat.

I love this Boonie as it is great when your out in the field and also around the house gardening. I also have a pretty big head and the Boonie fit perfectly. The speedy delivery was much appreciated as always with TG!

Perfect fit, love the amount of Velcro on the hat so the wearer can personalize it, and the chin strap is long so as to fit every type of face and head size. The camouflage pattern is perfect and matches the rest of my gear. I went with Tru Spec because I read too many complaints with Proper hat size being too small. Tru Spec nails it.
