Extra padding goes a long way in high-stress situations. The 5.11 Knee Pads have been designed specifically for the TDU and Tactical pant series, providing a layer of reliable support and cushioning where it is needed most. These rugged knee inserts easily slip into the integrated knee pad pockets and cover the entire knee via a contoured, anatomically molded fit. Built from ultra-protective neoprene, they deliver long-lasting support and will not wear down after constant use. Strong, lightweight and flexible, these pads use a high-quality construction and feature nylon backs for simple insertion and removal. Whether working a physical labor job or looking to reduce overall leg fatigue while on duty, these knee pads are ideal for any modern operator.

It's extremely disappointing that the same company that produces such high quality tactical pants markets such a thin flimsy USELESS accessory item. Do not waste your money. If you don't care about your knees, you might as well buy some Always Ultra Thin Sanitary Pads which come 18 to a pack. (On a positive note, tactical gear.com did refund my money and I was able to find some other pads to fit into my 2 pairs of excellent 5.11 taclite pros)

These pads have been great for my knees as my job requires frequent kneeling. However, the pocket they fit in is far too high up on the leg so when I kneel, I’m forced to tug the pant leg down enough to catch the bottom inch of the pad. I’m going to see if a seamstress can reposition the pocket so I can get the full benefit of these pads. Fix the pocket placement on the pants and this product will get five stars.

I was skeptically at first because these are not very thick. But they're thick enough to keep your comfortable on any hard surface. I threw this in my 5.11 taclite pros that I use frequently for work. (I work for the gas company in Arizona and am frequently on my knees in the harsh rocky desert scape inspecting gas meters) and these knee pads save my knees from the abuse. Thanks 511

I made my own knee pads from a couple of pieces of high-density foam that was on a shelf in the basement and those worked fine. But when IO had some rewards saved up, I splurged on these pads and love 'em! Much easier to put in and take out, very comfortable, excellent padding.

Fit right into pre-made pockets in certain 5.11 tac pants. They feel great on knees and don't deform the look of pants. Not all 5.11 pants have pockets, so check yours before ordering.

I've been using these pads with the 5-11 Tactical pants and they slip upward when I kneel causing my kneecaps to ride on the bottom edge of the pad a sending shooting sharp pains through the joint. Or they slide up totally, leaving my knees bone to ground. And I'm in tip top shape. Perhaps I'm too tall at 6 feet even or something, but these pads are kinda useless.

Love these knee pads.
I've got plenty of pants that have knee pad inserts (from Platatac to cheap Chinese repos to 5.11) and these pads have never failed.
Give them a try!

I own numerous sets of these knee pads and they fit nicely in the pockets of the tactical pants I own. They work well as elbow pads too.

Not too stiff to bother me during normal activities, and just enough padding to cushion the hard surfaces.

These knee pad inserts give just enough padding to make kneeling on worn out knees bearable.
