These are far and away the most comfortable boot socks I've ever owned. After 17 years in the military and many hot days with the sweaty, smelly feet to prove it, I actually look forward to wearing these. They are incredibly comfortable; I hardly notice them during the day and don't get the waffle patter on my skin after wearing them under my boots all day. They're warm enough to keep my feet from freezing in winter (which is an issue in Colorado) and they wick the sweat away so my feet aren't sweaty and disgusting when I change at the end of the day. I may or may not have been known to actually wear them two days in a row without washing, and they're equally comfortable and no malodorous feet. If I could find them a little cheaper I'd have at least ten pairs.

Bates is the best brand in socks ever. I started out trying ever brand i could for some good comfy socks that kept my feet dry all day and didn't slide down my calf. I typically wear a Muck Hi-Chore steel toe from 12 to 18 hours a day and these socks last the whole day and help keep my feet dry and the over the calf stay up past the top of my boots to eliminate the boot rub i was getting from other socks that just failed to stay up. Love these and highly recommend them to everyone!!!!

Seriously the best socks hands down, for work socks, boot socks, or everyday socks these are the best socks I've ever owned. This is my 5th purchase of Bates over the calf so they are tall enough for my normal Ariats, and still tall enough for my 15" Muck boots I wear for work everyday. I've tried every brand on the market until I found these. They stay in place and don't get loose are stretched around the calf. The best built and most comfortable sock out there.

After 4 years in the Marines and 13 years as a cop I was shocked to find that I've been wearing the wrong socks the whole time. These Bates are the best uniform boot socks I've ever owned. The combination of cushion and compression material really makes a noticeable difference especially in an OTC sock which is my preference on 10 hour patrol shifts. Definitely worth your money. You won't be disappointed.

After researching compostion, the Bates blend came closest to matching best hot-weather construction. I've been buying and using these for years now, using them for dress, casual and work. Not only are they comfortable year-round in Arizona, they wear like iron. Appears they don't make the khaki color any more. They switched to a brown that's more like Coyote... somewhere between khaki and dark brown, which is fine for masquerading as a dress sock!

Bought 9 pair of these. Fantastic socks.
Pros:
-Comfy and breathes
-Color is great (white base though, kind of shows through a bit)
-protective and cushioned.

Cons: This is between a crew and OTC in size. This is good, just mislabeled. OTC should reach the top of the calve and this only reached the middle of the muscled bulk of the calve. Perfect for military use in uniform. Not so much if you specifically want OTC length.

I’m constantly looking for a pair of socks to wear with my boots. I must’ve bought 15 pair. I have purchased two of these now I like the arch support in the protection if your shins they don’t find your toes and they stay up. That’s the great part they stay up. You never think about socks until I want up in the tower your boot. This one doesn’t. I know I will order a few more pair. They’re just what I needed and was looking for

I’ve had mine for a year now. These are just the best, especially for Arizona. Sometimes sandals won’t cut it and you have to wear shoes or boots. In 110 degree-plus heat, it’s brutal on feet. These are the only socks I’ve owned that keep my feet comfortable, whether in boots or dress shoes. They work perfectly in combination with my Belleville Marine Corps Hot Weather boots to wick away moisture, and provide cushioning and support in all the right places. I can even wear them with dress shoes. After one year of repeated washings the fabric has “pilled” just slightly. The elastic and reinforced areas are all working just like new. I’ll be replacing all other long socks with these as the other brands wear out. I’ll also look at replacing my short athletic socks with the Bates Tactical Uniform Short socks.

I got a few pair of these with a new pair of boots and I will say that I am not disapointed with the purchase. They are thicker and offer some cushion while not causing excessive sweating. The real test will be patrol in the summer but I have hopes they will hold up. I took two stars off because it says over the calf socks but when I put these guys on I find them to be about crew length. They don't come up any higher than the bottom of my calf. Granted I am quite tall but I got the xl and they are supposto be good to size 15. Mabye someone is made a mestake in the advertisement or someone can't measure properly. I would hope that Bates is not skimping on a little fabric on purpose as I have enjoyed their products with no complaints till now. I will review their boots after a few more weeks of use

Yes my feet sweat, the socks are awesome for the price, built like they should be, comfortable, quality and moisture wicking. I wore these in my military boot in 105 degree days, my feet where sweaty but haven’t found socks that work in that heat. I am real happy with these socks so far, and looking forward for the colder weather , I think theses will work great for me. I highly recommend these socks
