The Blackhawk SERPA Level 2 USMC Tactical Holster is a holster designed specifically for tactical operations. It offers the advantages of a drop-leg holster, such as reducing weight around the waist and making it easier to draw your firearm using your non-dominant hand. The thigh platform is flexible and conforms to your leg for a secure fit, and the rubberized leg straps prevent it from sliding. A Y-harness suspension system provides even weight distribution when on the move and keeps the holster vertical when kneeling. Quick-disconnect swivel buckles on the belt mounts allow for easy maneuverability.

I received my first holster and found the bottom screw hole was not lined up and the screw was missing. I called tactical gear and they were great about sending me a new one. I sent the first one back and received my second holster. The second holster had the same defect as the first one. Instead of sending it back, I loosened up the top three screws, lined up the bottom hole, bought another screw, put it in, and tightened up all the screws. Now it is fine. I was also disappointed in the picture showing the mag clips when in fact they have to be ordered separately at a cost of 17.99 each. I ordered these as well and they are on back order to be shipped sometime in May. On the plus side, the way the gun fits the holster, the way it draws, and the way it holsters, is awesome. I suggest that Tactical Gear contact Blackhawk and have them fix this issue.

One of the best holsters I used. This is for my M9 Beretta. Does not constrict movement and you can still access your side pocket unlike other holsters which cover up your pocket opening. Freedom of movement even when your sitting down, crouching, or in the prone position. Only problem is, well, not really a problem, its setting up the straps for the first time. For a good fit, you need to adjust and readjust until you get it right. Practically you will need to adjust 4 straps. After that, its good to go for any type of mission.

love the holster. Only con is that it is hard to adjust for proper fit for shorter people. I am 5 foot 6 and have it to the highest setting which just fits. Holster should be worn high on leg so you can cup the bottom of it with your hand without dipping your shoulder. Don't wear it john wayne style.

Great holster. Was issued a Safariland and later this one when on a MTT. The Blackhawk SERPA was best. Easy to use, durable, and comfortable. With practice, you will quickly adapt to the SERPA system b/c it's intuitive. Tip: remove the top thigh strap to make more comfortable and will maintain same fit to leg.

I was struggling to find a drop leg holster that fit my M9A3. This holster worked like a charm

Purchased this partway through my Iraq tour. Very comfortable, never had any thoughts about my pistol falling out. It's plenty adjustable too. Takes a while to fine tune it.

Haven't been able to use it. However, I like the design, much better than the standard drop leg platform.
