Condor CR 7 Pocket Chest Rig Tactical Reviews, Deals, Problems and Guides

For what it costs and what it is, this is a good chest rig for your basics like several extra mags, plus meds, trauma kit, etc... so you at least have something until you can get something better or, if you're like me, you already have better chest rigs and want something basic and inexpensive, yet durable, for that "yet another AK" and you don't want to spend a bunch of money. Also, if SHTF happens and you have a trustworthy buddy coming to you for help, you have something to equip him with so that A). You don't leave your buddy hanging as he defends his family from marauders, and B). You have someone on your side that at least has his bases covered to reliably and effectively back you up. I don't know why some people say it doesn't carry AK mags. I mostly run AKM and every one of my several types of AK 30s fits fine. Some people say it doesn't wear cross-strapped, it does. I would feel confident wearing this in combat. You can even get creative and attach some accessory pouches ( a NATO E-Tool pouch will carry 4 AK 30s, a 200 round SAW gunner pouch 6 30s or a good amount of gear, the newer, 2 outer pocket canteen pouches will hold a surprising amount of stuff for a bare bones survival kit, etc... ) using MOLLE straps, ALICE clips, fishing and weaving paracord etc.... on the horizontal back strap. And the material (I think it's ballistic nylon ) is better than I expected; this rig should see you thru most realistic scenarios. The central pocket that lets you utilize the entire inside of the rig can hold extra mags, ammo, meds, and lots of those afterthought, "oh, I should bring this and that as well" items. The shoulder pocket is perfect for carrying a compass and multi-tool. What more can you ask of a chest rig? I especially recommend it for those who are just getting into guns, gear, prepping, and training and/or on a budget. All your basics are covered with a quality product that won't fall apart on you until you can get something better, which is what I think Condor had in mind with this rig. I would rate it as "best value for the money chest rig" on the U.S. market. Sure, there are plenty of better chest rigs ( I own some ), but I have yet to see another rig that's better for the money. Anyone that says "it's junk, nobody uses Condor in real battle" is either parroting what they've heard some know-it-all say, or doesn't know modern Condor gear or been in a real life "that was close, good thing I had some combat gear handy" situation. For the money what have you got to lose? Get it, you'll be glad you have a way of carrying some basic gear and extra mags for that cool, shiny, military style combat rifle you thought you wouldn't HAVE to use, if/when you do need to load it up and defend yourself and yours. You'll find yourself saying "best money I ever spent, it saved my families' lives"!

I bought this to do drills with my AR and to use for general outdoor hiking/exploring.
The pockets easily accommodate 6 AR mags, and the two larger pockets work well for a first aid kit, binos, ear protection, etc.
With the flap-lid design of the pockets, the chest rig allows me to carry binos, flashlights, camera, food, FA kit, etc, and I don't need to stop or take off a pack to access my stuff.
I use my stuff, exploring mines, doing a lot of day trips in remote areas, and this rig holds up fine. I haven't had any issues with the stitching or materials so far. I will be adding some fastex buckles so I can integrate my water bladder too.
Very pleased, I could never have stitched this up myself at this price.

Been shopping these for several years. Utube,internet,army navy.they usually suck or are overpriced. I looked at this one many times but passed on it thinking it must be crappy because it's affordable. WRONG SIR! This thing is perfect for me actually. Carrying magazine's into battle is not a daily thing for me ,but this rig is versatile. Great for kayaking, hiking or playing battle boy with my wife...she loves my new rig as well. It's very comfortable once adjusted to your size. It doesn't move around it pretty much moves with your body and stays put. I like the fact that it has velcro so you don't have to constantly buckle it. The two utility pouches are very spacious and I've put my tools, mini cleaning kit, extra ammo in them. The magazine pouches fit up to a 30rd mag, you can fit up to two magazine per pouch so you have six magazines. The chest rig is made of some tough material which would help with durability out in the field. You can wear a smaller concealable plate carrier underneath that Blackhawk makes. The only thing that I wish it had is an attachment wear you can put a magazine dump pouch.

This chest rig fits perfectly over my vest/armor. It adjusts easily and is very comfortable. There’s plenty of space for extra magazines, water, and my tourniquet fits perfectly in the small shoulder pouch. The material is very heavy duty and should last a long time. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase.

It's what I needed
The image was misleading because the back on the ad shows it being cross strapped, in all reality this is not the case, but I am still very happy with my purchase, it's cheap, touch, wearable with my RAPDOM backpack, holds mags even with couplers on the, and comes in coyote. Mmmmmm

I'm using this chest rig for those short hikes where I want to have just a few things close at hand. I can carry bottled water, snacks, and pocket guides for birds and plant life. It's not exactly what it was intended for, but it's awesome to carry light loads where you can get to them without removing a pack.
The only complaint I have is that the tails of the straps are not doubled and sewn. They will slip out of the slide buckles if you're not careful, but this can be remedied easily with needle and thread.

Very well made product for the price. Condor makes good gear that's affordable.

Great for stashing gun support products and leaving in your car trunk with weapons. Makes for a quick response in time of distress!

I don't even know why I bought this product. But it looks good in my in my gun safe with my guns.
