Constructed with an ultra-sharp blade and an easy to grip handle, the Gerber Propel AO Knife is a durable, all-purpose tactical knife. The tanto-style blade is crafted from 420HC steel, and is partially serrated for cutting and slicing through tough materials, such as nylon rope and canvas. A black oxide blade coating resists corrosion and greatly reduces reflection to maintain a low profile for covert operations. Gerber's Assisted Opening 2.0 design allows the knife to be activated with just one hand, and the plunge lock and safety switch hold the blade in place, open or closed. The handle is made from black G-10 material for maximum durability and superior grip. When the knife isn't being used, use the three-position pocket clip for easy stowing. To ensure quality, this knife is backed by Gerber's Lifetime Warranty.

Bad news is the extreme stiffness. I sent it back to Gerber for repair/exchange. I have not got it back yet.
I have had stiffness from all Gerbers (Decree & Edict). This one was extreme. Maybe an old batch.

paid a fortune for a knife that the AO doesn't fire properly. Knock off are far more better than this. at least you know it's a knock off

I own a gerber 06 automatic it is a an upgrade of the gerber propel. The propel is a well made and very durable knife, and the price is the cherry on top. Thanks gerber for making some of the best knives around!!!

This is supposed to be an AO knife, its far from it. I needed two hands just to get it out of the housing.
