I really like the security of the holster to the boot. The velcro portion that secures the gun inside the elastic is easily adjusted to fit the gun, however with my revolver, I don't know how "secure" it is. I believe with a slim semi-auto it would probably be pretty comfortable but a 5 shot revolver, it pushes into my ankle a little bit. If they would make a "molded" leather holster, gun specific, that was attached to the part that goes around your ankle, I think it would be a much better design. As is, it is a universal fit. I would still recommend the product, it just takes some getting used to with a small revolver.

I use the BootLock for my duty backup, a Glock 26. My only real complaint is in regards to the wide frame of my compact, not of the BootLock at all. Thinner backups would probably fare better, but either way it is still easy to reach, and is comfortably to carry on my 10-14 hr shifts, Great product! Would highly recommend!

I got this holster 5 years ago and haven't looked back. I use this for my backup every day and love it. G43 fits great and I don't even feel it anymore. Have recommended it to several co-workers who all love it as well.
