Ka-Bar Fighting / Utility Knife Tactical Reviews, Deals, Problems and Guides

This Ka-bar style is exactly what I was looking for in a "fighting/utility" knife. It has a good, solid locking fit in the plastic scabbard if you choose that version over the leather one. Also, it's a toned down model compared to a couple of others by Ka-Bar that have healthy serrated edges along the top of the blade. Those seemed a little drastic for me, hence this version. From all appearances, well-made and well worth the price I paid for it on this site.

This is most likely the best knife I've ever purchased. I got this because I wanted to get a another larger fixed blade because I only had a medium knife and several smaller ones. I haven't had a chance to use it outdoors yet, but I am looking forward to doing so. It's very sturdy and it seems built to last. The grip is comfortable and it has a hilt to keep your hands from slipping up on the blade. I'm very pleased with this knife. Can't wait to use it!

Over all the fixed blades I have owed, this one is my new favorite

I bought the knife with the nylon scabbard. It's very sharp, well-made, and priced right. It's very similar to the knife I carried in Vietnam in 1968-69. When all else fails, go to K-Bar ...

I love the knife. Very sharp, careful pulling it out. I used to cut up a nice hunting spear for hiking. Can tell it's high quality steel. Would definitely cut off a finger should you ever feel the need to ;)
