Lansky is known for crafting advanced sharpeners for all kinds of blades, from pocket knives to chef knives. With the Blademedic Knife Sharpener, you can pack the power of a Lansky Sharpener in your pocket. The Blademedic comes to the rescue of dull knives of almost any shape and size, including serrated or regular blades, fishing knives, hunting knives, gut hooks and more. The Lansky Blademedic includes four sharpening tools. For quick maintenance and reconditioning, use the diamond tapered rod. For serrated knives, even with tiny serrations, the Serrated Knife Sharpener does the trick. The tungsten carbide sharpens blades with only a few strokes and the ceramic sharpening rod polishes knives to a finished edge. Never settle for a dull blade with the Lansky Blademedic in your pocket.

I recently ordered the Lansky Blademedic Sharpener and I am very pleased with it. I own several knives and it works great on all of them. Wider blades may have some issue (I mean really wide, though... you shouldn't expect this to sharpen a quality machete, though I tried it on my 10" SOG) but normal pocket knives, small hatchets, and fixed blades are a piece of cake. CRKT Drifter, Shrade gut hook, SOG K-bar, small wooden hatchet, a couple of Klein work knives and a cheap gift knife from my father-in-law all found new life with keen edges, and fast! I have heard complaints of the weight of this tool, but I like the weight. I still relate good weight to quality (think: cheap plastic electronic adapters with snap-together casings, WalMart tupperware, cast iron skillets...). The diamond bar is a little wiggly but has magnets to keep it in place. I love this thing and keep it in my pocket every day!

I have an earlier version without the serrated ceramic sharpener and am well pleased with it's performance. wanted another one & since I have a few serrated blades this new version fit my needs, a significant weight increase and slight size increase. Not sure I need the serrated sharpener as the diamond sharpener worked for my blades, however others may want a more precise angle & finer edge obtainable with the serrated ceramic blade.

It arrived in the mail. I immediately had to try it out. All seemed fine until I tried a chef's knife then used that same knife. SHARP was an understatement! Not only did the newly sharpened knife slice easily through potatoes but a finger tip that got In the way! The Blademedic may be small in size but it does a great job of sharpening! And the task WAS painless (until I tried its handiwork)!

A few strokes in the carbide groove, followed by a few more in the ceramic groove and your straight blade is ready to go! Serrations? The ceramic ridge handles even the small saw-back teeth on my older model Gerber Mark II. The diamond rod works well to restore damaged blades and can be used effectively on larger tools, including tomahawks, hatchets, and shovels.

The sharpener does what it is supposed to do and it is the size of a small folding knife. I put this sharpener and my pocket knife in the same pocket because it is convenient. However, it also makes it easy to pull out the wrong thing. I hope I don't have to defend myself against someone with a knife, and instead I pull out this sharpener instead. Bad Guy: "Give me your money and cell phone!" Me: "Here... can I sharpen your knife for you?"

After a little practice with it, I find it works quite well; I am not an expert but I was able to repair some bad knives, and put a decent edge on some decent knives. Great price, fast delivery, VERY happy with Tactical Gear, they followed through from beginning to end and I looking forward to doing more business with them in the future and getting more awesome gear :-)

This is the worst POS I have ever owned! I have a Lansky sharpening system that I bought when they were first made. I love it. I've had to replace the stones several times, but, it was a great product and still is. However, this junk heap took my nice kitchen knives that had nice smooth edges and turned them into serrated junk! It took me an entire afternoon to recover the edge using my regular Lansky system. This does not even belong in a tackle box! I finally just tossed it into the trash bin where it belongs! Again, if you value your blades, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Tryied it on a couple of knife and it put a good edge back on them with just a couple a stokes. Diamond tapered and serrated ceramic seems to help restore the edge on the serrated portion of the knife. I think for a small hand held backpack sharpener it will work great.

Great product. Handy. Small. Compact. Using it to sharpen Gerber fighting knives and boot knives in the military. If you can't shave with it, then the knife is not sharp enough. Never go into a knife fight with a dull butter knife.

The size of the knife sharpener would make one think they would be limited in sharpening; boy was I wrong. Solid little knife sharpener. One may elect to keep it on themselves for that time you dont have access to your sharpening stones.
