The ultimate innovation in blade sharpening technology, the Lansky Deluxe 5 Stone Sharpening System utilizes five distinct hones for various sharpening levels. The system accommodates blades of different thicknesses and hardness levels. Each hone is color-coded to represent the grit level for easy identification. There are also varying blade-sharpening angles for polishing and fine-tuning edges to a desired sharpness. The safety holders are finger-grooved and mounted to the sharpening stones for consistently efficient use. This kit also includes specially formulated honing oil for application to the blade and stones to keep the reconditioned blades in tact and help with the sharpening process. The sharpening system also includes a custom-molded storage case with handles for easy carry.

I like the results on the knives that I sharpened. However, the plastic broke by the hole for the rod. I called and they replaced the first one promptly no questions asked. I now suspect it is because they break often because a second plastic has now broken. I have not sharpened that many knives. Ugh, use wood or a harder plastic!!!

The knife clamp/ holder is made of metal, which is awesome. It's also great to keep a consistent angle while sharpening. A couple of complaints I have include...1) the rods that attach to the stones are held very snug in the case and upon trying to remove them they can bend. So you have to straighten them out. 2) On a tapered blade the clamp will loosen up due to the limited contact with blade. Maybe rubber added to the clamp jaws would help.

the product was not used but the return was easy and trouble free. I wish all companies where this easy to deal with. I will definitely do business with this company again.

Short learning curve. I've been experimenting with different types of sharpeners for a field kit. This kit is portable, effective, and easy to use after about 3 minutes of reading the manual. The only thing I personally don't like about it is it makes noise in the case when you're moving; not enough to take off a star.
