After receiving feedback from tactical operators who know what it takes to perform in the field, 5.11 released its tactically advanced Ripstop TDU pants. Made from a lightweight poly/cotton ripstop fabric, these pants can withstand extreme conditions and deliver comfort that lasts all day. The tunnel waistband adjusts as you move, ensuring a secure fit at all times. Double thick seat, triple-stitching and bar-tacks in high-stress areas provide additional reinforcement, while a Teflon treatment makes the pants soil, liquid and stain-resistant. Deep cargo pockets, rear pockets and pockets for backup magazines let you stow essential gear securely. The pants are also compatible with a Back-up Belt System.

Originally ordererd the Taclite Pro pant. I really wanted to keep them but the crotch was too long and the seat was too baggy. I tried two different sizes with no luck, too baggy. I took a chance and ordered the TDU because they did not look as baggy in the pics. I also knew that the older style BDU pant was not so baggy. The TDU fit so much better! You still have plenty of room without the bagginess in at the crotch and seat. I ordered three pair and my search for a great fitting tactical pant is over! Also, I am not a slim guy. I wear a 40 waist ant the extra large is what I ordered. The three different length options are also very helpful as I chose the 29&1/2, no hemming on my part!

Exceptionally well-constructed, these pants seem to be "engineered" for operators. They're reinforced where they need to be; the pockets and flaps are well-positioned, functional, and silent; and although I can't find the trademarks on the material, they appear to be made of "legit" multicam. I hope they hold up -- but even if they don't last as long as the kit made by the famous inventors of the pattern, I can buy three pairs for the price of one of theirs.

The only thing I got wrong was the length. The "regulars" are very, very long; and even with the built-in blousers, there's still too much material. Unless you have a 34" inseam or longer, try the "shorts."

Excellent material quality and fit. I am 6'5" tall, 235 lbs. I ordered the Large long and fit is just snug. Not tight, but snug. Given a large is supposed to fit 36 to 38" waist, I would suggest they would be a bit too tight for a 38" waist. I wear a 36" waist in jeans. Hope that helps someone.

These are top quality TDU pants. 5.11 brand so they're well made. Love the pattern and fit. I have other 5.11 TDU's and I did notice that 5.11 is making the pocket organizers differently now. I liked the previous packets better. The material was flexible and now they're not. Overall, these are the best TDU pants on the market. You pay more but you get much more.

I've been a big fan of 5.11 TDUs for many years now. These pants CAN NOT BE BEAT! If you've never worn them go for it, if you have you know what I mean. Found this site purely by accident was recently playin around on the internet thought I'd give them a try & am very satisfied. I will be returning & buying from them much more. Right On!

These pants are top of the line! Much better quality then what I wear on a daily bases.

Love the built in elastic waist band. It adjusts for the perfect fit and perfect for concealed carry!

The toughness of the rip-stop material and protective coating make these pants perfect for being in the outdoors!

Can't wait to buy a few more pairs.

These pants fit perfectly, the feel is great, just like my old BDUs and current ABUs. Like how the pockets close by Velcro, I did the same to all my BDUs when that was my UOD. The adjustable waist is also great, allows for those additional layers to be tucked in when required. You will be satisfied if you order these!

I recently purchased two pair of pants from tactical gear. All I got to say is I love them, they are comfortable and just a all out durable pair of pants. The ordering process was very simple and the delivery was quick. I will be ordering so more items in the near future.

Love these pants! Got 1 pair, I'm 6'5" 230 lbs., so I got large longs, fit great! But it does open another concern, I have 2 pair of 511's, the same style, just different colors, and they are kind of baggy. So they may not be holding the sizing very well???
