Men's 5.11 Short Sleeve Taclite Pro Shirts Tactical Reviews, Deals, Problems and Guides

I bought this shirt specifically for a trip that I took to Cambodia last week. I needed a shirt that would be rugged, comfy, dry and still stylish. This shirt met those requirements perfectly. The shirt felt comfortable wear while I was out under the sun all day. It whisked away sweat better than I had imagined it would. And add to that it looked good.

The only problem I encountered with the shirt was the fit. The review on this page all say that the shirt runs large. It DOES NOT. It runs true to size. I made the error of following what I read in the reviews and bought a shirt that was one size smaller than I normally wear. I wish I hadn't. It made the shirt too snug to be worn as anything but an open-front over-shirt.

That being said, I still will buy this shirt again but will buy the size I need. Ignore the reviewers who said this shirt runs large.

But I was hoping for a shirt. I'm normally an XL, however I read about these shirts running large, so I purchased a Large. It sticks out like a giant Bell and the shoulders are halfway down my arms.

For reference, I'm 5'9 and 200lbs and usually an XL.

I keep buying these shirts because they are comfortable, resists stains and look great. Frankly, I don't want to wear any other shirt.....so I bought several and wear them every day. I have both short sleeve and long sleeve. Thanks 5.11.

I own plenty of 5.11 cotton shirts But this is my first Taclite shirt. It has all the features that the cotton shirt has only much lighter. This will be a better shirt to wear during Tennessee summer months.

The only negative that I found was that these run larger than the cotton shirts. I normally buy a Large But in this shirt a Medium fits much better.

Overall I am very happy with both this 5.11 Taclite Pro Shirt and TacticalGear.

I now have 3 short sleeve and 3 long sleeve. Love these shirts. They keep their shape, resist soiling and look great. Love the concealed pockets. I'm in Real Estate and specialize on large parcels of land. These large concealed pockets are great to store paperwork while climbing up the side of a mountain with a client.

My first 511 shirt. Excellent quality. Feels good, all seams and buttons feel string and well made. My wife commented how nice the shirt looked.

Love all the pockets.

Note I bought an XL. I could also wear a large.
As others have observed these are upsized to fit over a vest.
Overall an excellent shirt.

I tried to wear this new shirt the other day on a hot summer afternoon. The shirt looked great. The quality is very conspicuous. But I was surprised how hot It was. I had to run back home and get a cotton T-shirt, because I was about to pass out from heat in this. I'm sure it will be better on a cooler day.

Excellent service, fast delivery. I'm 72 tall 200Lbs. Normally wear XL . I have other 5.11 shirts. Ordered L in this shirt, fits perfect. Love the pattern and color. I love this shirt and will be buying more. It is extremely light weight and has all the features as the 5.11 Cotton shirt. I bought this shirt to wear during the humid summer months that Tennessee has. I am sure that I will be very pleased with it and a lot cooler than if I wore the cotton shirt.

I'm 6'0" 195, 44" chest, I bought the large and it is perfect. The sleeves hit the elbow just right and the fit is great. The charcoal color is almost black. The hidden document pockets are fantastic and can even conceal a carry piece. I like that the shirt fits long and will not come untucked during strenuous activity. The ventilation is very effective and there are numerous pen pockets. I own other 5.11 gear and they never fade or lose color after many washes. Super high quality and nothing overlooked.
