Designed for multi-functional field and training use, the 5.11 Stryke Shorts now feature an 11-inch inseam and provide superior maneuverability when running, crouching or climbing. The Flex-Tac ripstop construction is lightweight and breathable and wicks away excess sweat to keep you dry when on the move. Built with a self-adjusting waistband that moves with you to maintain a secure fit, gusseted crotch to ensure a wide range of motion and bar-tacking in high stress areas for reinforcement, these shorts hold up when put to the test. Double reinforced cargo pockets provide ample storage space and zippered closures keep your gear secure. For additional protection, 5.11 treated the shorts with a multi-purpose Teflon coating to prevent stains or soil from tarnishing the shorts' professional appearance.

Best shorts I've ever owned. Have 3 pairs now, in 3 different colors. Just order one size smaller than you usually wear. I normally wear a 32/33 waist and a 31 fits me perfectly. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because one pair came with bad/broken stitching in a couple spots. Not a big deal really but for the price, they shouldn't come with bad stitches straight out of the bag.

These shorts are extremely good looking. They also feel pretty comfortable, but I wish they had the elastic waist like the pants do. That was a big design downgrade in these, because that expanding waist is a very nice feature. This same fabric is in the other style shorts that they offer, It is virtually indestructible. You will have theese shorts a very long time and they are worth the price.

I’m a fan of the shorts overall. The pockets position all the stuff I carry in the same place as the full size pants. If you have to stretch the waist of the pants to close them, you’ll want to go up a size or two in the shorts.

For some reason, 5.11 opted not to use the awesome tunnel waist that the pants use, in the shorts. There’s a mild elastic with a bit of stretch, but if I hadn’t recently dropped about 10 pounds, there’s no way I could carry IWB without cutting myself in half.

They do not have the slip waste band and are about an inch shorter that I need. Fit is tighter than full length Stryke pant. This should both be stated at top of description. Def not worth the price for what you get. Should order the other 5.11 short for much less price with about same features.

Nice tactical shorts.
I typically wear a size 38, purchased the stryke shorts In 38’s, had to return them they were too big, 36 fit perfect, I like the stretchiness of the fabric and the tactical ripstop, they’re my favorite shorts now ,will be buying more.

I am pretty picky about how my clothes fit. I don't like to be restricted and at the same time I don't want things to be too baggy (or too snug). These shorts fit great and allow freedom of movement.

I have several brands of shorts from Daluth, tru-Spec, to Sams Club or Costco. These hands down are my favorite. I'll be purchasing more for sure.

I've only been wearing these Stryke shorts for about a month. My new favorites, I need them in every color. Comfortable, soft, durable material that breathes quite well despite the thickness of material. I also like the clip compartments sewn into the cargo shorts inside. I use them to separate everything I would usually carry in my front pockets. I feel in these shorts I have way better range of motion when I do this. Great shorts, I've worn the taclite pro short 11" for a few years now and I think I've found an adequate replacement in these Stryke shorts.

Stitching on lower hem already unraveling after 2 gentle washings.
Need to call for replacement.
Also since I have other pairs this material frays under the most leisure use as like washing dishes in sink don't rub against the counter or it starts fraying. I really like the style and fit but for the price they really don't hold up as they should. Would be worth it if they were about 60% off.

I wear the 5.11 brand for work and leisure or even out in the evenings. With weather temperatures in Arizona, I find both the long strike cargo pants durable and cool for work. But with my new stryke cargo shorts I can relax and know they will be casually comfortable as well as durable. Simply will not rely on any other brand as long as they continue to make this style and brand.

Really like the slightly stretchy and breathable fabric, great pocket layout. Can't say as I'm a big fan yet of the smaller inner (mag) pockets inside the cargo pockets, seems you always hit those first instead of the bigger pocket. They are useful but also harder to pick stuff out of them too. Hoping I can get some more if they ever go on sale, they are spendy.
