The design is based on the RFI mountain combat boot but it got more improvement. They removed the rubber heel and toe cap, added more stitching support to the sole and changed from nubeck leather to a more traditional style making it easy to break in. They also added speed laces and changed the eyelets so that they no longer cut up the laces. 10/10 will always buy again. It does run a slightly but large. I'm a 10.5R and it gives a little wiggle room so that when you run with these your toes don't get smashed.

Very nice, high quality boots. I ordered what I thought would be my appropriate size (13M), but the boots seem to run large. A size 12.5M or maybe even a 12M would have been better. Unfortunately, I had to return them.
