You cannot go wrong with this jacket! It is amazing how light the thing is compared with how warm is. It will protect you from the wind and also keep you dry. Now I wouldn't use this as a primary rain jacket however it will do fine in light/medium wet conditions. Arc'teryx put a lot of thought into engineering this thing and it definitely shows after wearing it. This will serve you well as a stand a lone piece in fall to early winter weather and will provide excellent insulation as a layering piece in much colder temps. So if you’re like me, you’ll spend more time than necessary googling the size differences between LEAF and regular. For me, the M fit pretty much the same, with SLIGHTLY more give, which let’s you layer more effectively (I’m 5, 6”, 165, athletic build—normally 38S.). This jacket is awesome. Great and cutting moderate wind, excellent insulator if heat, yet breaths just enough while moving. I can wear this work with a thin dress shirt underneath down to 30-35 with no layering. Throwing on a fleece sweater below that and I’m still comfy. This jacket is incredibly versatile and is my go to for the gym, work, going out at night. It has a very durable construction and the hood actually fits great (if you’re not wearing a helmet). You can barely see the logo on the black, which for me, I like better. Highly recommend and worth paying full price—if it’s on sale—just order it!

The chest pocket is why I bought this. The hoodie and wrist seals are great. The LEAF atom LT AR is cut larger than a regular LT. The insulation is also different so it’s a warmer version. The blacked out logo is better than the regular reflective Arc’teryx logo! You won’t regret buying this.

Materials, fit, insulation, and features are all excellent. My new favorite midlayer.

It is lightweight packable warm and resist the wind.
