Rugged, versatile and reliable, the 8" Tactical Sport is one of Bates' hardest working designs. The upper is made from full-grain leather and 1,680 denier nylon for unmatched durability. Similar to most athletic shoes, this boot features a flexible cement construction engineered to promote maximum maneuverability and function. Unlike your typical athletic shoe however, this boot features a slip-resistant rubber outsole for extra grip on uneven surfaces and rough terrain. The cushioned EVA midsole and the removable polyurethane insole offer both comfort and stability for long days on the job, while the mesh lining promotes ventilation to keep your feet cool. The lightweight design, athletic fit, tactical functionality and superior arch and heel support make this the perfect everyday boot.

This boot is light and comfortable, yet supportive. I've only had them for a month, but they seem to be well made. My only concern is the laces, as they are rather thin compared to some other work boots that I have used. Since I am not using these in a professional capacity, this does not impact me.

Bought one pair of these Bates based on some real nice Bates I bought about 10 years ago. These boots, made in Bangladesh, clearly demonstrate the steep decline in America as it has sold its soul (or is that sole) to cheap 3rd World imports. This pair was blemished in several spots and generally looked cheap and like they would fall apart after one wear. So they are going back. Ordered another pair on the hopes I got a bad batch and guess what, arrived today and even worse than the first pair. Going back and no more Bates for this disillusioned old schooler. MAGA still has a long way to go.

These boots are very comfortable out of the box. I do not have any plans of getting any other duty boot besides Bates. I've had my other pair for over 2 years and they hold up very well. Great boot at a good price. You can't go wrong with these boots.

great boots. sturdy and well made, except for the tongue extension. seam was rough and uneven. Had to be returned for a larger size. (customer service & shipping is outstanding.) Boots run about half size large.

I have been wearing these boots six days out of seven for over two years and they are still like new with only an occasional cleaning with a damp rag. replaced laces about three months ago with paracord when they started to fray. whether heavy yard work or going to the store, haven't found anything better.

The boots are strongly built, lightweight, and I hardly know they're on, after a couple of minutes. I bought them slightly larger than my foot size, and they work perfectly. I'm taking them into the Rockies on a long mountain hike, next month. Good buy.

Solid boot, a little break in time, a bit not much. (About two to three days) I highly recommend this pair of boots.

These were my first pair of combat boots and they lasted over a year. They held up to some long hikes and my security work. I'm on my second pair now and I'm still happy with their performance.

The boots fit to a t. Great grips on the bottom. My feet do not sweat. Easy to clean.
