I got a pair of these for my VA approved recreational therapy, 3D archery and bowhunting, with hopes that I wouldn’t have to spend a lot on a more popular brand of light weight early season hunting pants.

Never owned any of Condor’s products before and I wanted to try them out for an extended period of time before I ordered any more - I knew they are made in China and I’ve heard that they may or may not have the highest quality materials and in odd sizes before so... I was apprehensive but they were on sale so I took a chance.

I have worn these pants in temperatures ranging from upper 90’s to lower 50’s, varying conditions including high altitude, freezing rain & hail and very dusty and windy weather...all here in Colorado.

Just to see how they would wear while soaking wet I even jumped in the pool with them on twice, once during a warm 92 degree day just playing with my twin 3-year old boys and once during a nighttime march training with some of my retired “brothers” with boots and ruck on with the temperature hovering around 70 degrees.

They even got soaked with a blue coconut slushy from Sonic while in the car, thanks Cameron!

Even though I never babied these pants and always washed them with regular Tide Fabreze on cool/warm setting as needed, I never put them in the dryer but instead just hung them over my shower curtain. I still don’t know how they would fair in the dryer BUT they dry within a matter of a few minutes anyway so I never deemed it necessary.

Obviously I don’t know how many different pairs of pants, makes and materials etc, I’ve worn in my 42 years but I can say this much - out of the ones I remember, these are my absolute favorite pair by a long shot!

If you have read this far, know this;

If you are looking for a pair to wear at the range, hiking up a 14.000 foot mountain, going grocery shopping, doing an early season western plains “spot & stalk”, taking the kids to the zoo or going to a casual function with your significant other...these pants comfortable, water repellent, reasonably wind proof and don’t scream “mall ninja”.

I have never written a online customer review before but I decided to do so today because I just ordered two more in FDE and two pairs in grey - give the Cypher a try!

The fit is perfect in my opinion. Not baggie and not tight. The stretch material makes these pants really comfortable. I put them to the test on a range day at the desert with multiple shooting drills and it was phenomenal

Cipher's are the best value. I use the hip pockets for a spare mag and tactical pen. They have mesh pockets that help with keeping things cool. I have a few observations with Ciphers. I typically wear 32 waist and 30 inseam, but since I carry and use a gun belt I usually order 34W. However, Ciphers with a 30 inseam look like a 32, which works for me. My Cipher gray pants 34w x 30L are tight on the upper leg, I workout my legs, they fit like slim pants. My Cipher Jeans, 34w x 30L, are tight on upper leg and lower leg, you can see the calves muscles, these are like a skinny jeans, not really my style. Both are super comfortable, have been holding up to my abrasive abuse, and that even though the material is thin. If you are an active person, and/or run hot, the thin strong stretching material helps keep things cool. These are my preferred CCW summer pants. However, the gray pants, after 5 washings is showing the zipper crotch area stitching coming undone. I'll sew it myself. I would definitely buy more ciphers, pants not the skinny jeans, if more colors were added to the line up. We need the following colors ODG or Sage Green, Coyote, and Dark Brown.

Go with the larger waist size if you carry IWB weapon(s) and/or if you want more upper leg room. They'll fit like slim (not skinny) pants. Choose your typical length, it might be an inch or two longer, but if you are always wearing shoes you will be fine. IMHO, these are the best discreet, value priced pants on the market.

I purchased these pants a month ago with no real expectations due to Condors old reputation of cheap mass produced products. However, when I received them they truely felt like premium quality pants. The color is a bit darker than expected (FDE) which is what I prefer and the slim look with stretch fabric is very modern with enough extra material in the ‘man area’ to allow for manueverability and also the calf area so you can wear boots and not look bulky. If I had to say one thing I dislike about these pants, is that they seemed to run a size or two small. I personally purchased a 34 (normally 32) to allow for CCW space and they fit like standard 32’s. So I would suggest not to put them in a dryer, plus they dry super fast anyways.
Otherwise I really enjoy these pants, they run a very fine line between normal outdoor pants and ‘tactical’ pants. After a month of normal use and washes in AFG I believe these will stand the test of time and serve any multipurpose roll.

Overall the pants are ok. But here is a helpful heads up for all of you pants makers. Most of the clients you make pants for are military, LE and first responders. More times than not we have smaller waist sizes and larger thighs. My high area (hip to knee) should not look like millennial skinny pants wearing or spandex. Most of us have man legs and not little get away sticks. Don’t get me wrong, we want and need form with function but come on. Have any of you ever seen a gym?

I absolutely love these pants. I work for the fire department/ambulance part time and was due for a new set of pants. Last year I bought a pair of 5:11's and tried many other pants. All had one thing in common, tons of baggy material! I swear the pant legs were 10" wide!! I am 6'-2" 155lbs and generally skinny. I have been searching for a set of SLIM FIT EMS/Tactical pants and these were the first ones I've found in all my searching. For me these are perfect, I do however wish they had a couple pockets on each side of the legs for gear but I will make do. I also can see how many people say they are too tight. I think these pants definitely will only work with someone my build and skinnier. If you have big thighs or legs forget about it. For me though they are perfect and I will be buying a couple more pair!!

I first bought a pair of the FDE colored cipher pants 34x34. I loved them and they fit perfectly so I went on to wait until the black ones became available in my size. Once available I bought two pair that were the exact same size but somehow they fit more like a 32x34. I've found that the consistency in Condor's clothing size varies. This isn't the first product I have gotten from them that is way different in size.
Great products but be careful when it comes to the size. Don't think that just because you got one and it fit perfectly that when you buy the exact same thing it will fit the same way.

I am a personal trainer and I was looking for a pair of pants that would look good out in public, feel comfortable, and most of all allow me to move around easily in my very physical job. I am 5"9'', 180lbs, and I wear size 32x32 and I ordered my first pair in black and I was instantly hooked. These pants allow me to run, jump, lift weights and all sorts of other physical stuff and they always still look great. The stretch fabric is the key. I could not believe how perfectly they fit. Sadly I ordered another pair in gray in the same size and they were at least two sizes too small, although they were marked 32x32. I decided to try another pair in the khaki color and they are perfect. I am not sure what happened with the gray pair but next time I will not remove tags until I try them on. I will now order them in all available colors. Also they hold up great in the wash machine and dryer.
Exactly what I was looking for!!

I ordered these to wear at work as a semi casual pant that is functional for work in the warehouse, but also nice enough to wear in the office. They are nice, but the one bad thing (which is my fault) is that my true size is a 32x32 and I ordered a 34x32, like I do typically for pants I conceal carry with, but these pants have an elastic section on either side that would’ve allowed me to order the propper size. Long story short order the correct waist size!

Expected quality for the price. Some sewing and seams not perfect. Ordered two pairs and a side pocket zipper pull on one pair broke during the initial wash. A little tight in the thighs but still comfortable. 4 stars because for the money I didn’t expect top quality and the fabric and most design features are well thought out. Very comfortable but expect the elastic waist to stretch about 80% to the labeled size. If you need extra room for carry or comfort order a size up.
