The versatile Danner 8" Desert TFX G3 GTX is one of the lightest military boot on the market. It is built on Danner's TFX-8 platform to maximize stability while reducing overall weight. The rough-out leather and 1,000 denier nylon upper is sewn to the insole plate for added foot security, while the nylon shank provides arch protection and lateral and medial stability. The Vibram Striker Torrent outsole is engineered for superior grip on rough, uneven surfaces. It also features oil and slip resistance for optimal workplace safety. A premium waterproof GORE-TEX liner prevents moisture from entering the boot, while pumping out heat to reduce the risk of overheating when worn for extended periods of time. Perfect for the modern operator seeking flexible, functional footwear, this boot does not disappoint.

The boots were almost perfect. They fit well and were remarkably sturdy upon my first inspection. I absolutely loved the how tight and formatted they could be with the lacing even though it took a while to get on or off my foot. My only gripe other than lacing speed is the lip has a stitch in the middle near the ankle and it was perfectly on my ankle and folded over making it a painful experience once the boots were laced up. If it weren't for that stitch in the middle of the tongue, I would have taken them, broken them in and used them for duty. But, sadly, that stitch is an immediate pain and renders them unwearable for me.

I wear these boots everyday framing houses, hunting, fishing, etc. They are by far the best boots I've ever owned. Super comfortable, cool in the summer, warm in the winter, waterproof. Just awesome! I did have to modify the lacing system at first because they were cutting into my ankle. I just skipped that middle loop.

Everything I have come to expect from the brand. Felt completely broken in after first two days. Feet have stayed perfectly dry. Are as comfortable and light as wearing a normal sneaker type shoe. I am stuck wearing them for extremely long periods and have had no complaints. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a quality pair of boots.

I was hesitant to purchase boots online, but all the stores around me didn't sell waterproof lightweight boots in coyote brown. I was satisfied with the return policies so I ordered a pair...they didn't fit. I'm woman's size 9 for nearly every shoe I own so I ordered a 7 in men's and they were very very tight, and I definitely noticed the pain at the ankle everyone mentions.
I think these boots are more narrow than usual, and that the people experiencing the pain at the ankle should have tried a "wide". I compared the new boots to my old boots and noticed that they were notable shorter and thinner. So, I bought an 8 wide. No more pain at the ankle and they feel GREAT.
I am so excited to have a pair of light weight, waterproof boots that feel awesome. Can't wait to see how much more comfy they get as I break them in.

I've only worn them a few days now. Fit is as advertised. The lacing system is a little different, it takes a little more effort to get in and out of them. They aren't quite as comfy as my previous pair, however, I expect they will break in soon. Lightweight, and they just feel like Danners. None other compare.

It’s an awesome ridge and light weight boot, but beware the sizing. I order us10 regular fit (what I was wearing in 5.11) and they were so tight, which many people pointed out in their reviews on this boot. Order Wide ! Also something mentioned was the pinching on the ankles. Also true, but it’s was a breaking thing for me. By the second day the discomfort around the ankles was gone and i couldn’t be happier with my purchase

Great warm weather waterproof shoes. Lot of waterproof shoes are hot, these ventilate a decent amount. Toe box could be slightly wider for foot swelling in warmer weather.

All in all a great boot. It was hard for me to find a good goretox boot in coyote. The only thing I didn’t like was the one set of lace eyes set far out on the sides. But that was an easy fix by just taking them out of that loop. Took a little longer to break in than other boots, but once they were they are great.

The boots are comfortable, light and keep cool in summer temperatures. I only have one problem with the ankle eyelets which I rerouted the laces to alleviate. Hopefully after full break in this will disappear. In summary this is a comfortable boot for all day wear.
