The Danner 8" Kinetic GTX is a rugged duty boot designed to handle the rigors of patrol work and lightning-fast operations. The full-grain leather and ballistic ripstop nylon upper provides superior protection while preventing overheating and discomfort. Danner's ultra-tough Kinetic outsole is a lightweight, high-performance rubber base that maintains grip in the toughest conditions and does not lose traction in extreme temperatures. In terms of comfort, there is an Ultralon footbed, which delivers unparalleled cushioning through the heel and forefoot, along with the cushioned polyurethane midsole. I’m a rather large man at 6’6” 300lbs. I am A local police officer who is hard on boots and as such I expect great things from them. I could not be happier with these boots as they are rugged no break in time at all and keep my feet warm in this cold weather

I am a 20 year military veteran and now a Sheriff's Deputy. I have worn just about ever brand of boot out there over the years. These are by far the best build boot I have ever worn. They look sharp, are comfortable, water proof, breathable, great support and very durable. I have worn my current pair everyday of work for 2 1/2 years and then are just now getting worn out. I will be ordering another pair soon.

Good quality, durable, supports arch of foot and has decent ankle support. Seems pretty light for an 8" boot, good to run in and reduces fatigue against hard surfaces for extended periods (asphault) Great for wet, cold or neutral weather. Only possible con is when running/rucking in hot weather sweat soaks my feet (doesnt evaporate) and there goes the skin on my achilles. But its waterproof for a reason.

I have tried several different boots...and these are the best so far. I love the fact they are light weight yet waterproof. They provide great foot support. Unlike some other Danner boots, these ran true to size and not narrow like some other Danner boots I own. I would highly recommend for someone who is on there feet for long hours and my need to run. Best boots I have tried so far.

Easy break in. Not heavy or clumsy. Water proof so far. A little on the narrow side. Comfortable all day even for a double shift.
