BLUF- The Marines are on to something with Danner as their issue boot. More comfortable than any Welco, Altima, Bates, or Rocky brand. The fit is like normal shoe size, unlike many MILSPEC boot manufacturers. Boots (Danner item 55317) are the Coyote Brown for OCP; uninsulated but have waterproof liner. TG had the best price on these ATT and I recieved in 3 days with standard shipping. Great boot, will buy another pair from TG soon.

The fit was a little snug at size thirteen but they were ready to go. I wear between a 12.5 and 13 but they were snug. Once inside the boot they felt great. I didn't notice the tight ankle that other reviewers were talking about. If your looking for an inexpensive boot this should not be your choice but if you want something that will last Danner is always the way to go.

The boot is comfortable but it is hot on my feet because of the waterproofing material I have had the same problem with a pair of danner work boots was hoping these would be different but are same way with making my feet hot Tryed different socks but didn't change. Brake in was not bad having problems with the right boot rubbing a spot on my ankle and has a pinch point that is annoying I hope it improves with wearing. Thay are snug on my feet that is good for me feet are narrow and are true to size. One more thing fabric makes a snipping sound while walking. I think these boots would be good for the winter. I won't buy this stile of boot again because of the waterproofing material but would buy a different stile of danner boots

Great boot, runs just a touch small but still comfortable. Not as waterproof as I was lead to believe. Got into some ankle deep water and was in and out most of day and feet got wet. I am beginning to think no one makes a good waterproof tactical boot. And rubber boots don't cut it for support. These are my second pair of Danners and they are still worth price.

Toe box and width run small, laces are to short. They have stretched but don't plan on thick socks, have to wear thinner then I normally do. Color, support and quality are good.

My son is a Marine and he recommended Danners since they take punishment and hold up well. The Tanicus are my second pair of Danners. Based on my earlier experience and the reviewers comments I purchased a half size larger and they fit great. They are comfortable right out of the box. I have large calves so the short laces need to stretch a little but no issues with ankle comfort for me with these boots. My other pair are great for all day use and have held up extremely well. They'll take a little break in period but after that in my opinion you can't go wrong with these boots especially for the price!

Ordered my usual size. Boots arrived and they were a tight fit. Contacted customer service and they were glad to exchange for a larger size. A half size larger fit good. Boot was a little tight in the ankle but after a day of wear they were good to go. Not so sure about the waterproofing ability as of yet. Order a half size larger and they will fit.

Danner does it right when it comes to their boots. With this boot I’d definitely recommend extra wide for anyone that normally wears a regular width. These boots run a little tight and be ready for a 7-10 break in period. But once they are broken in, you won’t find a more solid boot out there, especially those that can be worn in uniform. I wish Danner would make these exact boots in Gortex without that extra eyelet for the laces. This site was also amazing to work with as far as customer service goes!

I have had many brands and type of boots, but these have to be up there in the top of the list. They are true to the size. Feel a little snug, but within a few days they should be perfect.

Great Boot !
Danner Quality, very comfortable.
Went on a two mile hike right out of the box to break it in.
Good price. I am gonna buy the hot weather Tannicus as well.
