I bought a pair of these in February and after 7 weeks of use a chunk of the sole on one of the boots came completely separated and ripped off one of the boots. I contacted merrell and they shipped a new pair immediately. Here we are 6 months later and the toe section of the sole has come completely unglued and peeled back from the boot rendering no longer waterproof. Horrible quality but I guess I should have expected that considering they were made in China. I’ll never buy merrell boots again.

This boot is comfortable right out of the box. No break in period. Purchased for work being I'm on my feet for 10-12 hours.
Very happy with the feel. Boot is made well and looks good also. Took advise from an earlier review and ordered 1/2 size smaller. Wearing size 9 all my life and went with 8 1/2, which was perfect.
Would definitely buy these again.

I've been wearing Merrell shoes and boots for many years and they are very durable and comfortable for the most part. Normally I'm a size 9 but Merrell consistently is a 8.5 for me...these however feel a bit larger cut and I'm wondering if maybe an 8 would have been better? Haven't really worn them much but they seem well made and look good, are lightweight and offer waterproof protection. We'll see how they hold up over time.

Boots were delivered on time, comfortable right out of the box. Didnt feel like it needed a "break in" time. Lightweight, flexible. Not the type of boot it seems like to take a shine if you need one, but for a good duty / work boot, I think I'm going to keep buying them.

Comfortable right outta the box. Lightweight yet sturdy and waterproof too... you can’t beat Merrell boots for the money. My 3rd pair, but 1st from the site...ordering was easy (even for an old fart like me), it arrived when promised. Will use these guys again.

stylish, durable, and just what I was looking for. I was apprehensive about ordering from the internet because of sizing variations and did not want the hassle of return. These boots fit exactly as sized and are very comfortable.

I bought these boots and they have zero break-in time. Outstanding comfort. Quality materials. Just a great boot all around. However I am thinking about just throwing them away. They stink! About the second day I noticed a smell. About the 3rd time i wore them it got rowdy. I always use foot powder, I take very good care of my feet. Another thing is I can't just switch boots because I don't want that funk to carry into my other tactical boots. It would be cruel to donate them so I guess to the trash they go. And what a shame because they are beautifully designed and very comfortable. I wish I could have enjoyed them more, i just don't understand why the awful smell...

So far I am impressed with this boot. Good ankle stability and makes me feel like I am sure in my footing.
