For public safety professionals and anyone who works in dangerous environments, the Original SWAT Classic boot provides phenomenal safety and comfort features. The rubber outsole provides excellent traction and slip resistance, while the Aegis antimicrobial insole protects from bacteria and hazardous materials. These boots also meet standards for electrical hazard protection, making them secure enough for potentially dangerous jobs. They include thermoplastic heel and toe counters for comfort and lightweight security, and an EVA midsole molded for additional arch support. A removable orthotic footbed makes these boots customizable without sacrificing the built-in antimicrobial protection. They can be put on and taken off quickly and easily thanks to a YKK side zipper with a hook and loop closure tab for convenience.

The rubber material on the bottom of the boot has worn out very quickly, the stitching has come loose on the velcro and on the toes. I love the look and feel but this has happened with both pairs I have had.

I had recently purchased the Original SWAT boot because my last boots (a different brand) were on their last leg and were falling apart (they were over 4 years old). My business travels take me to a wide range of military bases and urban search and rescue training facilities where I need to be in boots (not necessarily steel-toed). I recently found out about these boots from a colleague and purchased a pair, which turned out to be the best boot purchase I have ever made. Not only are these boots are easy to slide on and off, especially with the side-zipper, they provide snug support and definitely allow your feet to breathe while on the job. I have no complaints about this product...definitely a must for anyone that is active in tactical environments.

I like everything about them except that they pinch a little around the ankles. I assume this will clear up with a little breaking in. Everyone is built a little differently so my issues may not be the same for others. They are solidly built and not too hard to get on because of the zippered sides. They look great and I am sure I will enjoy many adventures in these!

I bought these to use as Station/Work boots in the Firehouse. I wear a size 10 D Regular and the 10 D size fit perfectly. They felt good right away, and after wearing them for more than a month now they seem to break in better more and more. The traction is great , as i've been on some medical calls with snow and ice and they tracked great, they also track great on oil concrete apparatus floors. They are lightweight, look good and have a great padded heel and sole. The zipper has been working great getting them off and on for various calls, just unzip quick and they slip right off. I haven't tried polishing them yet so i can't comment on that. For 100 bucks they were exactly what i was looking for....so far so good!

I have worn the SWAT Classic 9" for over a year and needed a replacement. I needed a bit wider boot so I ordered the 9W. It arrived quickly and is living up to my expectations. It did take me a few days longer to break this pair in than my original ones did, but now that they are I find them as comfortable as my original pair.

Well, I bought this boot because it was advertised as being "airport-friendly". This one in particular is not, it has a steel shank. The boot itself is comfortable and useable, I use it for riding motorcycles. No it does not have steel toe. I needed a boot for my commute to work, and I found another alternative where I need a non-metallic boot. This one is for non-work days then.

I ordered 1/2 size smaller than average size that I wear but made them in a wide width. They fit perfect, most comfortable boot I have ever owned, I even wear them as slippers around the house

I never tried Original Swat boots but I ordered the classic side zip tall boots. They seem comparable to the other Tactical boots I've worn and the price wasn't too extreme. These boots were light and comfy, barely felt like they were even on. Time and hard use will testify to these boots lifetime usage but I so far like the boots just out of the box comfy no break in period
