For tactical operations in hot, humid environments, you need a pair of cargo shorts tough enough to handle your mission. Propper BDU shorts pack the comfort and function of BDU pants with a breathable, hot-weather-friendly cut. These shorts sport a six-pocket construction with fused pocket flaps for toting all your essential tools. The waistband adjusts as you move, ensuring a secure fit at all times, while felled seams prevent splitting during strenuous work. For a lightweight, breathable material, the 100 percent cotton ripstop is an excellent choice. Overtime, as with other cotton fabrics, the color will fade and the fibers will lose strength after industrial wear and laundering, so if color integrity is an important factor for you, avoid this kind of fabric. Returns for color loss aren't available.

I love the Propper BDU pants and wanted the shorts to for the hot days. these are built the same way except the seat is not doubled, which makes them cooler so that's OK. the part I don't like about them is the inseam is too short. I am 48 years old and in today's world, shorts that are two inches above the knees look a little dorky. So I wear them as loose as possible so I don't look like a German boy frolicking through the fields. I think I and going to buy the pants from now on and just have them hemmed. IF you like your shorts to go to the knees and you are tall, these will not work for you. I'm a little disappointed, Propper needs to get with the times and offer longer inseamed shorts. This is the only reason I give them a 3 star rating.

These are ok - but I'm not overly thrilled. They are LONG ... meaning past the knee on their way to pants! Sent them to Tailor to remove the 3.5 of meaningless fabric below the pocket. Admittedly, this may sound picky - but my experience with all my shorts - if I don't do this ... the hem starts to rip from bending and rubbing against my knee. First thought was to return them .. but after reading Policy - decided to just keep them. The return shipping that Customer has to cover would have been 50% of what I paid for them. Decided it wasn't worth it to return.

The fit and sizing on these are good. The cinch waist buckles are nice option over elastic. When compared to 511 Taclite Pro shorts, these Propper front pockets are too shallow, belt loops are too few and too dainty, and no auxiliary pockets.
For the price, these are a very good value. If you want a better lightweight tac-short, look to the 511s, and pay more.

I was looking for two pair of solid color BDU shorts that I could wear as dress shorts. I got the sheriff brown and the OD green. Both are lightweight ripstop and are well-made. The adjustment tabs are handy because I have a 30 inch waist and shorts can sometimes be a little large in the waist for me. I will get plenty of use out of these shorts.

In the summer I wear these for work, play, chores and an occasional swim. Love the 100% cotton construction, ample wiggle room for moving around. Great utility pockets. Probably the 10th pair I've purchased over the years. They last several years and I wear em till their threads. When they're broken in they're even more comfortable.

These shorts are great. They feel heavy duty yet very comfortable and cool at the same time. All the pockets are reinforced and plenty of room. I am a size 32 to 33 depending on brand, i ordered size medium and they fit me good if anything a little bit big but acceptable. Great product for the price and fast shipping

Love 'em. You cannot find better shorts at this price point, and they are better than most shorts that are priced higher. Couldn't be happier.

I've been really pleased with these propper shorts. I'm 6'0 185 so I ordered a size medium and they fit really well. I think they have a nice length, they come to my knees. The shorts look and feel high quality. I'll be buying them again for sure. Two thumbs up.

Five star all the way. Texas is hot, these are great for that. I conceal carry and works IWB or at times I just drop my carry piece in the pockets. THE CARGO POCKETS DON'T BAG OUT! That is the best part, doesn't look like you are have riding pants on. Also the waist has two pull tabs to tighten if without belt. They dry quick and I must have a dozen parts that I rotate for good/dress and as the years go on they go to home ones. They last forever and hold the shape.

If you carry in the summer be sure to get two sizes up. Otherwise these shorts are great. Love the cargo side pockets. Very low key and non tactical looking. Went hard on them first day. Only disappoint was that I didn't buy more
