One afternoon I was bored, flipped on the television and there was a film from the forties starring John Garfield. No white shirt he, no sir. He wore a dark-it was in black and white so the actual colour isn't apparent-shirt with a smashing dark tie. Hmmmm. I got out a suit I had made a Sullivan and Wooley in London, put on a brown shirt, a Marine Issue Khaki tie, some brown socks, brown suede shoes and...went to a board meeting. Home, peeled off the suit, hung up the tie, shoes back in their trees, tossed the socks in my laundry hamper, pulled on some gray Levi 501's,white athletic socks, my boots-with the roping heel-rolled up the sleeves on the shirt to my elbow, grabbed my Larry Mahan hat, slid into the pick up and headed for the ranch. All I had to do for the shirt, and, really, I didn't need to, was change some of the detritus that, for some reason, I carry in my pockets. The button down flap keeps glasses. cards I'm handed and don't want. tops to pens, change etc. in. This may seem a small point but I'm 6'6" so when I lean over, gravity takes over and will empty pockets. Okay, back to town. Left on the Jeans, changing the belt to something less Rodeo, put on a Camel's hair blazer, no tie, some brown Argyle socks, Old (bought them at Bullocks Wilshire in Los Angeles while I was in Grad school at USC circa 1965) then went to the club for a 'Guys Card Night'. Took off the blazer, rolled up my sleeves and got....quite a lot of compliments on my shirt as to the style-I'm in my late 70's so I cannot wear the trendy, the slim etc. but I can wear these shirts. And do. With much success. I now have them in several colours and wish there were others....In short, it's a helluva shirt, sturdy, laundry proof, easy to iron (my housekeeper comments on the various shirts I own and their 'ironability') and looks great.

What this shirt proves is that very little imagination, and probably what you've already got in your closet or bureau, you're prepared. For get all those idiot 'tips' as to how to dress, cut your hair etc. and remember simple but well styled and crafted will always make you the man people want to see. After the jacket, if you're even wearing one, it's the shirt that makes the statement about you. From the epaulets down, this one says, "Sir, I am here, listen to me. I'm a good guy" The shirt conveys a sense of quiet authority, few other garments can so easily, casually others notice it but...can't tell why, only just that the wearer will get a hearing and respect.

I like it.

Four things of note for a prospective purchase. One...Hard to see in the pictures but atop of each shoulder you have 1" strap with a button. Guess you could put a hat or something under it to hold securely. Not exactly what I was looking for but not objectionable. Two...these are not light weight shirts by any means...very sturdy and a light steam and there ready to go. Three...slightly disappointed in button stiching....While unpacking for first time and unbuttoning the threads were constantly getting stuck in the buttons...Both shirts and numerous buttons. Lastly...Bought a large long....arms still about an inch to short for my taste...Take a 36" arm length normally..... If they shrink after first wash Ill have wasted my money as I won't wear short arm shirts.... TBD... IF they stay same Ill probably get another.

I love these shirts. Good points---Look fresh and almost starched after washing, holds shape, does not fade, fits good. Bad points---Hot!! best for Fall and Spring or any place other than South Louisiana. Size runs on the large side so maybe get one size down. I usually bounce from Lg. to X-Lg. Large fits great. X-Lg. was way too big. I think you will like it.....

This shirt is absurdly oversized. I'm talking it says Large, but it has to be an XXL, at least. I'm 6' 190lb and wear a Large normally. I checked measurements before purchasing and they said what I expected. But this is so ridiculously huge I'm wondering if the tag was misprinted because I can't believe anyone would order this and not have this same issue.

So in order for these shirts to fit the length on my torso, I sent back the 2XL Tall shirts and purchased the 3XL Tall shirts. Well the shirt fits but is so wide on my torso I look like a flying squirrel! Seriously, I could fit a sawed-off shotgun or my holster under this shirt and it would never be seen because of how ridiculously wide it is. No offense to my fat brethren, but these shirts should be fixed to actually fit correctly. That is, the 2XL Tall should be long enough to fit on a tall person's torso so that I don't have to purchase a 3XL Tall.

I ordered one of these earlier just to check size/fit and it was spot-on so, I ordered another.
It's called a 'dress shirt' but, it's not what one would think of material-wise. It's a heavy cloth that would be too warm for a Summer long sleeve. Perfect for Fall and Winter, though.
I bought the Dark Grey and the Grey. The Dark grey is what it looks like on the website. The Grey, though, is a bit darker than shown. Not as light as it looks.
All in all, a great looking and fitting shirt. I'll be getting another!

The Large was a bit wider than my husband would like and the sleeves were enough too short. While that is not uncommon for him, the XL would have been too wide, to get the sleeve length he needed. The fabric was also super heavy and not at all what we thought it would be. I can't imagine him moving around and working in this shirt, as it was so stiff. It seemed like it would be very durable though! We returned it because it didn't meet our needs.

Very durable and make with good thick material. Though the shirts run a little on the larger scale (barely) this is perfect for a few of my officers. I bought a few extra shirts for my agency. With the right amount of space my officers can wear concealable vests along with outer plate carriers without feeling tied down. .....I will be trying their tactical pants when the need arises.

I bought three of these shirts in different colors. The fabric is very good quality though the color seems a little off from the photos on the website. I still think they are really good and durable shirts that I hope will last me many years so I'm definitely keeping them. I didn't look too closely at the stitching but it seemed good from first glance.
