I was in the Army Reserves when the transition from the green fatigues to woodland camouflage BDUs occurred in the 80s. The transition was difficult due to the change from "breaking starch" and spit-shines to "breaking fluff" and forget-the-shine. The worse part of the design was pocket location and functionality. This improved uniform made needed corrections to the original design by tossing the buttons, changing the fit, and placing functional pockets where they needed to be. The resulting improved Army Combat Uniform is so much better than the early design, today's soldiers enjoy the changes we begged for but were never heard. Maybe we were! I love everything about the uniform and Propper is, and has been, my favorite for quality. Buy it, wear it with pride. If you are reading this and are considering this product, look no further!

Looks just like what I was issued. Needed a new one, so I bought this. Pretty spot on and comfortable. I agree with the other reviews, the fit is perfect.

The only reason I didnt give this a 5 is because the size is waaaaay off. I wear a 36 waist so according to the size description i should have a large, but when I tried it on when I got it, I was also able to fit my wife in the coat with me. Returning for a medium and will update review when I get it.

I'm an avid airsoft player and take it pretty seriously, I needed a new bdu and the grit is fantastic, very tough material, light weight, perfect fit. I will be back for more!!
