Propper BDU's have been my go-to shorts for many years. I prefer the Poly/Cotton to the 100% cotton as they are more wrinkle-free and don't need to be ironed. My one criticism (not restricted only to Propper) is that eventually the waist button will fall off and have to be resewn on. I would also recommend that your waist size is not near the small of the range of the particular size.

I know this is a different SKU than the other 6 pairs I purchased, but I expected the quality to be the same. It's not, in my opinion. Button flaps on the rear pockets seem awkward to use - my old ones have Velcro. Waistband cinch adjustments instead of elastic. No waist sizes - just S, M, L, etc. Hold them up to the light and you can see through the fabric - very lightweight. Inseam is 10 inches, which is too long for me. I had this same issue with the long leg BDU pants some time ago. I ended up returning them and locating the correct SKU. I will say that the BDU shorts and Propper pants are are my "go to" choice for just about any activity. They are extremely comfortable and versatile.

I was looking for a pair of cargo shorts that didn't have too many pockets, no more than six or eight. At the same time, I wanted a pair of shorts that wouldn't be too baggy and make my legs look way too lean. I'm 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weight about 152 pounds so the size small BDU shorts fro Tru Spec are almost the ideal shorts for my frame.

I bought a pair a few years ago when multi cam came out and was popular. I have used these for Mtn biking, to the gym, hangin out... Size is good, I lost some weight so they are looser still. So now I have a fresh pair and a worn and fade pair! I always bye a 2nd of something I like in case they stop production!

Good fit and well made. Purchased these as work shorts for around home and hunting camp. They have taken everything I have thrown at them and still look good. My clothes are tools too, just like hammers, saws, or wrenches, so "no babying". So far, so good. We'll see how they hold up for the long haul.

I like the way these shorts fit, and the material seems durable. But the pockets are these strange, pleated blousy things that completely lose their shape after the first wash. Looks like you've got a couple of saddlebags on your thighs. Would not buy again.

These guys are tough BDU style shorts. They are well put together and, for me, the zipper fly is nicer than BDU buttons. The placement of the waist adjusters are directly under belt loops. Which, if you are putting on a belt, is problematic.

New and clean, they make a great dress short, after the get broken in and a little patina.......great for everything else. I've been buying these shorts for 15 years, 2 pair a year. I will cry the day they quit making them!!

Most everything is great about these shorts, belt loops lack a little for a pair of tactical shorts in my opinion and the waste adjuster is right under a loop making it very hard to use. Other than that they are perfect!
