Propper is one of the main suppliers of apparel to the military, so you can rest assured the company knows how to build a Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) tough enough for combat. Propper poly/cotton twill BDU pants sport six military-grade pockets and boast button-closures for the fly and pocket flaps. Using a thick polyester/cotton twill fabric, these rugged pants are sewn to military specification. Propper maximized the durability of these pants with 11 stitches per inch, felled seams and double-reinforced seat and knees. If you have a tough job to do, dress for action in the battle-tested designs of the Propper BDU pants.

I bought these a little big purposely. But that's of little consequence as I wanted them large anyway. The BDU pant is a good pant design.

They are comfortable and I can move around very well in them. The waist adjusts some although the adjustment straps won't stay put for me. I wear them with a belt; however, so they stay once the belt is on.

The 4 button fly is not my favorite but it works. It's just hard to relieve one's self on a cold winter day in the woods. That is actually the only problem I have with the fly

The pockets are large and pretty easy to access. It can be hard to button the flaps on the rear pockets, but not that hard. The bellows pockets are extremely large and I was able to button half of each one and still have access to them while keeping the flaps down.

The cuffs are adjustable with ties. The ties aren't very long in my opinion and I've never used that feature on any pants, but it is there if you need it. I left the cuffs as they were and tied the ties up so they aren't dangling.

I love the reinforced seat and knees. I think these pants are durable and should last quite a while.

Finally, Multicam (in my opinion) is the best all around camouflage ever made. I will be testing these in various environments, but it is light enough to be useful in grass and sparse vegetation but can seem to "darken" in low lighting such as in wooded areas. They say it seems to take on different shades depending on the surrounding areas and light. I thought that was bogus but it truly does blend in better than other camouflage patterns over a wide variety of areas. It is perfect for the area I live in. Having said that, no camouflage will ever be the perfect pattern in every environment. I will be testing these against Woodland and ACUPAT in the near future in various areas and conditions.

Great pants, amazing camouflage!

Finally a pair of BDU Pants with the correct fit. I had tried Tru Spec and their sizing just did not work for my 31" waist and 5' 8" height. I basically fell in between Tru Spec sizes. However, these Propper BDU Pants are a perfect fit. I first tried Medium Regular but these were too long in the crotch giving a very baggy fit so I went with the Medium Short. Also, I am very happy with the poly / cotton twill. The material is plenty heavy and should be very durable. I prefer this material over the Ripstop material. Lastly, these have the button-fly closure which I prefer over the zipper closure. So, overall I am very happy with every aspect of these pants and I plan on ordering more.

I have been buying these pants for several years and this last purchase of four pairs left me very disappointed. They are made with much lighter weight material and the sizing is off, smaller than normally.the waist is smaller than usual and even the length is shorter.if I didn't remove the labels they would be returned. I will not be purchasing this brand again

I wear these pants to work at a telecommunications company and I can't wear them out. They survive pole climbing, working on roofs, crawling, kneeling on concrete and working underground in manholes. On my old pair I tore the cargo pocket on something and the first layer of material on the knee has a hole in it but they are still going stong. Highly recommended!

Comfortable and warm. My favorite pair so far. Multicam pattern blends in well in the environment and looks very cool. I own many pairs of Propper pants and have buying the Propper brand products since 1998. Hopefully these new ones (made in Haiti) will stand up to the previous pair I own that were made in Dominican Republic of US materials.

I usually order the large / long in most military style pants. I wore a large/regular in the military many years ago.. I ordered these in XL and they are way to large for me. That being said, the construction of the pants look like they are well made, seams look sturdy, and I like the poly/cotton blend. I never got a chance to wear them long term since I sent them back for a smaller size. Will review those at a latter date.. I also think reviews should not be completed a week after purchase. Wear them for a year, then tell us what you think..

Propper makes great products. The BDU pant is every bit as quality as you would expect from propper. The military uses propper for a reason, it's good. The colors are great, multicam is the single best camo available for multi terrain . The sizing of this item is exactly as the issued I purchase at clothing and sales on post. I prefer the BDU pants over the new ACU pattern because it has buttons on the cargo pockets apposed to velcro which wears out after extended use and is loud, the velcro also tends to lose it's sticky-ness and will open randomly on the ACU pants. Go bdu. However, be on the look out for the new ACU pants which have replaced the velcro for buttons. When these become available I will get them because I do enjoy the extra lower leg pocket that the ACU pants come with. BDU pants are a great value, they work and are sturdy. Until ACU's are available in multicam with buttons instead of velcro I will only buy BDU. It's a lot better than purchasing some of the more expensive Blackhawk, 511 pants.

These poly/cotton BDU pants are heavy-duty, and exactly as described. They have button fly, button pockets, and reinforced knees and rear, with ties for hem. They appear to be identical to the type we wore in the USMC. Propper is a contractor for government clothing, and advertises on a tag with the pants that they've made 75 million over the years for military and law enforcement. Good stuff. A bit warm for summer wear, so you might want to get plain lightweight ripstop, such as we wore in Vietnam, for that. These are considered by the military as winter wear, but certainly good all year round. Mine arrived true to size. Washed in cold water and permanent press cycle on dryer, just to guard against shrinkage. There was none, however. We used to wash them in all kinds of water way back then!

I have been wearing the poly/cotton urban BDU's for a while (almost two years now).

I shoot video for a living (legal stuff), so for work, I wear the dark grey battle rip BDU slacks, but for running errands when I am not shooting video, and everything else, I wear the urban design poly cotton twill BDU slacks.

I just want to wear something different, fun and interesting. I used to wear blue jeans - even for shooting video and presentations in court (I need to crawl around on the floor to hook stuff up, so I never wear dressy clothes).

These BDU's dry so much faster in the dryer, I save money on energy costs too.

Color, wear, quality... it's all there.

Beyond the excellent quality of these Propper BDU's, the service from BDU.COM has always been fantastic.

I have used these pants for years. I work in very harsh environments ( heavy construction, metal fabrication and machining, high angle rescue, etc). My recreational activities are just as hard on clothing so I have tried every thing from Duluth Trading fire hose pants and Carhart pants to regular old denim blue jeans and these are the only thing that lasts.
