Propper took the legendary Army Combat Uniform (ACU) design and reinvented it to create this garment. Just like the ACU, the TAC.U is crafted from a poly / cotton ripstop blend and features an eight-pocket design. This construction allows for maximum gear storage, while maintaining the traditional, professional appearance critical to uniform pants. However, these trousers are built for tactical purposes. The Gripper waistband keeps pants in their proper place for a secure fit, ideal for jobs that require a duty belt. The cargo pockets are tilted slightly for easy access to equipment and tools, so you can grab what you need at a moment's notice. These pants bring military aggressiveness to a silhouette ideal for law enforcement.

I don't understand why it doesn't fit. I have two other pairs of 5.11 tactical pants that are 32's, and several Jeans of 32's that all fit fine. But these, ordered for 32, and they feel like 30's. Can barely get them buttoned up, it's terrible. Definitely order an inch or two up for the waist. Worst that'll happen is you'll need to wear a belt with them, but I highly doubt that'll happen. Other than that, they seem to be great and would love to rate 5 stars as soon as I get a fitting size.

comfortable from the first wear, comfortable fit around the waist and the crotch area was very roomy . the over all fit was comfortable with no binding or grabbing in the hip and crotch during two day of walking, stooping, standing and running outdoors .
If you are active and work outdoor i would highly recommend this product
** please note that this review was given after the initial wash before wear and then two consecutive days of wear

Reason for the headline about shrinking is the fact it's hard for me to find clothes that fit the way they should. I had previously bought a pair of pants that were a touch to big but then there is a warning to buy a size up because people say they shrink--well, shrink just a little was what I needed and they now fit PURFECT !!! Would like to get more but it has become a discontinued item.

My hubby just loves these pants. He had several of an older version and after many, many years they finally wore out. These have wonderful new features like wider belt loops which are strategically located and don't catch on anything, slanted Velcro pockets also better located and a zipper fly instead of buttons. He is a happy guy in his new tactical pants!

I've worn these for years while working overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa. I like the high waist, and especially the better fit offered than the generic sized pants (M/R, L/L, etc!). I can select these to fit my leg length and waist specifically. This gives me a length option between pants I'll wear over my boots and pants that will be tied above or tucked in.

The durability is good - no complaints there. They are stiff when new, but break in like a faithful pair of jeans.

The color selection is reasonable and practical. Wear matching colors for uniform use, or mixed colors for that "contractor" look.

I wear them as casual slacks when I'm home in the US. Love having all those pockets!

We are allowed to wear a variety of uniform pants for work, including different colors, so I ordered one pair of these to supplement my regular uniform pants. The first pair I received had a defective snap on them, but Tactical Gear and Propper replaced them very quickly. I am very pleased with the fit, comfort, and quality of the product.

Clean straight looking... inside the waist line a polymer gripping band to hold those shirts in place. Double snaps up front secure the front...plenty of pockets for everything. I wear these every day... in my pockets is everything I need for the day... documents to cross the boarder, sun glasses, listening devices, phone,...

I am 6'3 175#. These fit just about perfect. They drag on the ground when I am barefoot. Angled cargo pockets look really cool. Waste band has that sticky material that holds your shirt in your pants. Drawstring inside the waste band, velcro pockets. Paid a little extra but got more bells and whistles. Fly cover is reallly narrow. Barely covers the zipper. Needpads are inserted from the bottom up instead of top down. I thought that was wierd. Seems like it should be top down. I would have given it 5 stars if there was a flashlight in the pocket.

I wanted a pant like my ACU's but regular colors. Dang, these are one of the greatest pieces of outdoor equipment in the arsenal. From all the pockets to the waist band. Fit and length are perfect. Strong, comfortable and capable of hold what ever is task critical.

I hate buying clothing without seeing and feeling it first hand. But I took a chance and I must say that by using their size chart that they fit well. These are made from quality durable material. I recommend these as I am 100% Satisfied.
