I bought a pair on clearance. Excellent price for made in USA boots. They look good, received many compliments. Sturdy with a solid sole and comfort. A little bulky compared to other brands. i wore them around the house for a few days to break them in. Sunday I took a 4 mile hike in them over moderately rough terrain. By the 2nd mile, my heels were rubbed raw. By the end, i had bad blisters. The heel back is a solid textured rubber(?) that rubbed through my Bates boot socks. I've glued moleskin the the back and hopefully that will fix them. Not designed for fast hikes or runs but would be good, once broken in, for long rucks and through hikes.

If you just wear boots for a minute to decide what booys to buy you would hate this one with the first wear. I wore them for 30minutes and the boot formed to my foot and felt like i was bare foot in sand. They are a comfortable boot. Love mine.
