Men's Ridge 8" Ghost Side-Zip Boots Tactical Reviews, Deals, Problems and Guides

The left boot fit well and the right boot pressed on top of my big toe and could have caused a blister. I might have worked this problem out but one little problem still existed.
Ridge is the only mfg. I have found that measures the boot height from the inside while almost everyone else measures from the floor up. This boot measured 10 inches from the outside and 8 inches from the inside.
I ordered a 8 inch boot measured the way I have always measured them. I have three pairs of 8 inch boots and two pairs of 6 inch boots. They were all measured from the outside from the floor up.
This 10 inch boot is uncomfortable for the height. I could wear this boot in a true 8 inch height, just not 10 inches. I do like the zipper, which makes easy on and easy off.
The curved zippers should be on all boots as the straight zippers are hard to get on and off. This is the opinion of many reviewers of boots.

Well I've been wearing these boots now for about two weeks, and not to bad so far. Break in was fairly quick, good ankle support, fit is great, needs a little more cushion for the insoles if standing for long periods, polish up easy with a good polish kiwi my preference. Looks great with class A uniforms easy on easy off over all a good boot for the price. Like I said I've worn them for about two weeks, a good friend gas worn them for about a year and no complaints so far

I ordered these from a fire catalog last year. Rubbed my heels raw and constantly rubbed holes in my socks. Otherwise they were comfortable on my feet. Only used for heavy duty active daily work for one month then changed to a more light duty job and they only lasted the 7 months just passed the 6 month warranty and side zipper ripped all the way out. I have had thorogood's and bates for well over a year working hard long hours in EMS transport services without falling apart but just had to buy new because they started to get uncomfortable on the bottom of my feet so I had to break down and replace them. I highly recommend thorogood's and bates. But I am personally exploring options to find something better. Ridge Ghosts I am highly disappointed with, too pricey for the quality. They may have better choices tho.

nice boot zipper a little tough to zip. inter sole is not as soft as I was hoping it would be, just like any other work boot.

The first thing I felt was support. I've been getting cortisone shots in my foot, and embarking on shin splints. Put them on with out closing them, right away no pain! Looking forward to healing up!

Very easy to put on with the extra large zipper. Also very comfortable even after 12 hours!

Ordering my 4th pair. Wear them for my job 42 hours a week. No issues. Great side zip design. Also use them for riding.

Cut to narrow! Zipper rubbed on toe joint. Had to return
