Tactical Research Khyber boots are an excellent choice for tactical operators who work long days in demanding environments. The aggressive design and uncompromising features set them apart. The serrated heel kicker helps you maneuver on slick surfaces, while the Vibram IBEX outsole keeps you balanced on rocky, unstable terrain. The toe bumper provides serious grip, which comes in handy when you have to climb or crawl. These boots also provide an impressive level of stability and enhance performance with a semi-rigid heel cup that grips the foot and locks the ankle in place. The lace-to-toe style provides a customized fit and lightweight sole lets the foot flex for increased mobility. Waterproof materials add an extra layer of protection to these built-for-action boots.

First off I'm always looking for good online retailers who have good prices and fast shipping. I'm always leary of ordering from new places but tacticalgear.com exceeded my expectations. The price was good and shipping was fast. I think I ordered on Wednesday and had it on Saturday.
Now for the boots. The boots are true to size and if anything run a tad long but snug around the sides of the foot. Break in was fast maybe a few hours. They are pretty light and allow good movement. The zippers give plenty of room to get in and out but are sometimes awkward to zip up due to extra interior material. The soles give good traction in dirt and urban terrain. They are also fairly quiet on hard interior floors. I can't comment on the waterproofness of the boots since it hasn't rained much since I've had them. I've never been let down by goretex before. Being a police officer these boots fit the form and function I needed. They are comfortable, functional, light weight, and easy to keep clean. If I had to list a down side to the boots I would say the inner soles could use a little more cushion especially if you plan to stand in a small area for extended periods of time. However I have not noticed any foot fatigue while on calls or long dog tracks

I used to wear rocky alpha force but their boots aren't so comfortable anymore. I thought I'd try these. I had them on for an hour before I rolled my ankle. It's been 3 weeks and I've done it a few times now. I work in ad seg, escorts and walking are constant. I've already replaced the insoles because those weren't good. I slip a little when I walk on wet polished concrete. I will say I love the way the boot looks and feels after new insoles. I wish the ankle area had some support. The boots do run a little big so I ordered a half size smaller to compensate. I don't know if would purchase these again but I will be ordering from this website when I do need boots. The shipping time was less than 48 hours.

Right out of the box I could tell that this was a well constructed boot. They are light on your feet and offer great support. Within a few days of wearing them I could feel how the boot started to contour my feet in just the right places. Heel support, arch support and in this Middle East terrain and through all the heat I can feel my feet staying dry.
I have to agree with the rest of the comments that were made about the side zipper, they should have gone with a more heavy duty zipper. I don’t think I will be using it as I would hate to ruin the boot because of a snatchy zipper. Having said that it is super easy to put on and slip off without having to use it. They’re sizing suggestion on these Kyhber boots was spot on and highly appreciated as they fit my perfect

This is superb site to buy from. Reliable, efficient and affordable. Even shipped out my order before charging my card. I will definitely be making all my future purchases from this site

I have been wearing for about 3 weeks now. I usually wear size 12 1/2, so with many companies making only sizes 12 or 13, I read a previous review which said the boots fit a little bigger, Purchased a size 12 and very happy, boots are light and comfortable with plenty of support.

I only have one criticism of this product. The tongue is a little thick and once in a while when I exit my cruiser, the hem on my pants gets hung up on the top of the boot. However I love the comfort and fit and will purchase this product again.

I get a new pair of boot about every two years. Being a heavier man (6'4" 230 lbs) I put my boots through a lot of strain. I have worn this model of boot for six years now(3 pairs). They are incredibly comfortable, supportive, durable, and provide excellent traction. After two years of daily wear there is still enough life left in them to retire them to yard work boots and the pair before that gets one last life as river walking shoes. You will definitely get your money's worth. Customer service is always excellent. I get the right product in the box at my door, fast. I will continue to order from your website.
Great job guys great product
Keep up the good work

So far so good! Waterproof model a little too hot for summer in Florida but my feet have not gotten wet yet while driving the forklift during the afternoon thunderstorms and one tropical storm! Great soles and arch support feels like wearing tennis shoes.Definitely going to get another pair of the non waterproof.A little concerned about the zipper but if i get a year or two out of them I will be tickled.Quality product, no more new boots every couple of months so I will save $ in the long run. I will certainly be a return customer!

I recently purchased these boot as part of my winter kit. I work in the Northeast and have had a lot of snowy/slushy days promoting the need for some waterproof boots. These boots have been warm, comfortable, and have aggressive tread. They are truly waterproof, and as such don't breath great, so at the end of a long day my feet will be damp from perspiration. They will however be warm throughout. I would recommend these in a heart beat. I plan to purchase a pair for summer that are not waterproof.

Comfortable and built well. Only one week in so time will tell if the seams hold up. I've had Oakley and under armor. The Oakley were great but were bricks on my feet. The under armor were light but after one foot pursuit the sole fell off. Also wearing the under armour I develop plantar fasciitis. Went to see a podiatrist and was told to buy my boots from a proper shoe company and not a company that makes sunglasses, gloves and the kitchen sink. After doing some research I learned that Belleville has been making boots for the military since World War 1. A bit pricey but completely worth it if they hold up well. Two things I won't mess around buying cheap things with and that's my feet and bed.

After 13 years of wearing Danner's, these boots were recommended to me by a Co-Worker who wore them in the military.

They look great, are super comfortable, are well made, are lightweight and I was able to shine them like mirrors!

You cannot beat the price, the quality and the style. I bought two pairs and keep one ready and shined at all times.

I highly recommend them.

*Disclaimer* I wear them indoors so I cannot comment on how they will last on patrol. However, I wore Danner's on patrol for many years and they were so heavy and hard to run in so I would give these a try and roll the dice.

I've only been using these boots for two weeks. Very comfortable out of the box. I bought a half size larger to help with swelling just because my job requires a lot of standing, walking and the occassional 16 hour shifts. Main purpose I bought these boots are because they are waterproof, not too heavy, and they look good. My only cons would be the zipper style, it has the curve that just doesn't open-close easily and that there is no hook on the back to help pull the boots up when putting them on.
