Shoes arrived right on schedule. Price was right about what it should be. I have been wearing them about two weeks now. Super comfortable. They were practically broken in when I got them. Which is the reason for the half star. Yes they are a “postal” shoe but I use them for construction. A little thicker leather would make it better for my situation but then it wouldn’t have that broken in feel. The sole has great grip and the cushioned liner (this comes w/ the shoe, not like a competitor’s shoe I used to buy) is so comfortable. My dad always said “take care of your feet” and these shoes do just that. Will definitely but them again when they wear out.

I got this hoping the XW size would fit my feet. I was disappointed in that regard, I have another pair of Thorogood shoes that were XW and were MUCH wider than this pair. I kicked around stretching them, but ultimately decided, that although this appears to be a very comfortable shoe, I returned them. Foot comfort and width is more important. If your feet aren't 4E then they might just be fine for you.

This is the most comfortable and durable shoe I have ever owned. It's not a dress shoe, but it is a fashionable daily work shoe. Best of all, it's American made. Hard to find those these days.

I have owned two pair of this style shoe and the only problem that I found was that after 5 years the inside liner started to wear thin and roll up. As for the sole and main shoe, I still have my original pair and the sole does not show any real wear.
I would recommend this style for all types of weather.
